The hours passed slowly well into the next day, Eugene had fallen asleep on the couch downstairs, slumped against the back of it. Abrahams deep snores echoing down the stairs and reverberating through the small house. It was the beams of morning sun that awoke Eugene from his much needed slumber, grumbling softly he rubbed at his eyes. Glancing around he sighed remembering the night before. Abraham being drunk, sobbing over all that has happened.
Seeing the person you love cry is the most heart wrenching scene to witness, mostly all you can do is hold them, and dry their tears for them. Reassure them on occasion. But seeing a tough person such as Abraham, break down like that, Eugene wouldn't ever forget it.
Pushing himself off the couch Eugene made his way to the small kitchen area, opening one cabinet in hopes they had some instant coffee left. "Bingo. " he mutters victoriously. Taking the circular container out he went to the small coffee maker, adding a thick towel to use as a filter he then added the water and coffee beans. Knowing Abraham would most likely need a few cups to get going, and rid himself of the hangover.
The rich smell soon filling the house, it reminded Eugene of the early mornings he had as a teacher, waiting on his coffee to brew before he would head off to work.
The sound of footsteps snapped him back as he turned around, Abraham was coming down the stairs now. Shirtless and barefoot.
"Morning...I was making you some coffee.. It'll be done shortly.. " Eugene spoke softly knowing how Abraham was even without a hangover.
"Mhm.. " Abraham grunted, rubbing his head as he moved to the cabinet which held what medicine they had. Taking out a bottle, he popped two pain killers dry.
Turning then to look at Eugene with a somewhat apologetic expression "Listen, Eugy,I'm...I'm sorry... Last night.." he sighed heavily looking down now "....I love to fight.. But I hate killing sometimes... But... But I /know/ it's the right thing.. Hell the /only/ thing sometimes...to do.. " shaking his head a few times now "....guess I'm just... Trying to say... You've fucking gave me a reason... A hope.. And I gotta be more fucking grateful... For what I got now... " with that he lifted his head to look Eugene in the eyes.
Eugene had remained silent as Abraham spoke, the only other sound was the dripping of the coffee maker, when he found Abrahams eyes locked on his he sighed "I know.. I know... Last night... For me it never happened... I forgive and forget... " he takes a deep breath "...I agree, sometimes you /have/ to kill... And I would rather it have been that man than you... So...I haven't said it but.. Thank you...thank you for saving /me/...not just this time... But all those other times.. " he had said that last part in a flustered rush, not used to being so sentimental with Abraham.
Before he knew it he was pinned against the counter, Abraham encircling his large arms around him "God I fucking love you Eugy.." and that was all that was said before Abraham crashed his lips against Eugenes, a soft sigh escaping Eugene as their lips met. They were like two magnets, always coming together at some point. Eugenes hands soon grazing up Abrahams bare back to grab his short hair, his short fingers entangling in it.
The beeping of the coffee maker was muffled out by thr sounds of need and want escaping their lips.Abrahams hands roaming downwards on Eugene.Abraham pushing Eugene back more into the counter, feeling resistance he growled, quickly lifting Eugene onto the counter now, this causing a muffled moan of excitement from Eugene.
Abraham just grinned like a high school senior, who was about to get some beneath the bleachers after a football game.
"Coffee is gonna have to wait Eugy.." Abraham growled playfully
"I agree.. " Eugene said eagerly.
