Ivy P.O.V.
I spaced out letting my mind wander while I waited for my robes to be mended. My mind ended up wandering to the first day I arrived at camp. I had caused so much confusion back then but now I find it kinda funny.

"Great. I'm lost. This is what I get for listening to Hope, lost in the woods." I mumbled to myself, picking through the bushes.
I think I'm going the right way, I hear voices ahead. Huh, it looks like there's a summer camp at the bottom of the hill. I didn't know there were any summer camps on Long Island. I thought to myself.
I proceeded to pick through the bushes and walk down the hill. Maybe I can get directions to lead me out of the woods so I don't have to go back the way I came. I thought to myself as I wandered through the trees.
"Who are you?!" I heard someone from behind me yell, quite forcefully I might add. When I turned around I nearly passed out. The voice belonged to a girl who looked to be a few years older than me. She was tall, tan and was holding a dagger in a fighting stance. She had a strong New York accent. It seemed odd at first but then I realized I'm in New York. Of course she has an accent!
"Uhh.." I trailed off. "My names Ivy Black and I just wanted directions out of the woods. I got lost. PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!" I yelled back to her out of fear.
"Come with me," she grumbled "Chiron needs to see this. How old did you say you were?"
I followed her down the hill as I replied. "I didn't say but I'm 10 and a half."
My feet were starting to hurt and I was greatly lagging behind her. Without thinking I apparated down the hill next to the girl I was following.
She jumped back in surprise. "HOLY HADES!" She yelled.
That's an odd curse, I thought. But then again she has a dagger. She's already odd.
"That's it. We're going to the Big House NOW. Hurry up!" She demanded. "CHIRON I NEED YOU NOW!" She started off calmly, but ended up yelling.
A middle aged looking man in a wheelchair came up to us. "What seems to be the problem Clarise?" He asked her calmly.
"So that's your name!" She looked at me strangely, then I realized that I said that out loud.
"Chiron if it's not obvious we have a problem here." She gestured to me. "She's weird! She got past the borders no problem and has a British accent. At first I thought she was a special mortal but then she literally shadow traveled down the hill!" She told the man hysterically.
"Well one of the Apollo campers did say they dreamt of a girl standing by Thalia's tree, then shadow traveling down a hill." He mused.
Clarise and the man in the wheelchair continued their conversation as I spaced out looking at nothing in particular due to my stupid ADHD. Clarise started to wave her hand in my face. I was so startled my first reaction was to take out my wand and shoot a hex at her.
"What was that?!" She screamed as she dodged the hex.
I watched as it hit another camper in the back. After she was done Chiron spoke next. "Clarise, this is what I meant. You need a break. Perhaps go back to your cabin and lie down, or go take your anger out on a dummy in the sword fighting arena."
"Both of those sound like good ideas, thanks Chiron." With that she walked off.
After Clarise walked off I was left with the man in a wheelchair. She had called him Chiron.
"I never got the chance to formally introduce myself. My name is Chiron and you are...?" He asked extending his hand.
"Huh? Oh! My name's Ivy. Pleased to meet you." I said as I shook his hand.
"Now that introductions are out of the way we should get you to the orientation film. First things first, do you know anything about Greek mythology or Ancient Greece in general?" I shook my head no in reply. He started walking, well rolling, towards a stadium shaped building.

I left the orientation film feeling confused, but also relieved that I knew where my mystery powers came from. Chiron had let me call my mom and have her bring me my stuff. Just a few minutes ago I had retrieved it. Now I'm lost looking for cabin 11, the Hermes cabin.
I continued walking through camp when someone came up to me.
"Hey I'm sorry for earlier. I saw what happened with Clarise on the hill. Don't take it personally, it's just how she is. One of the other campers started messing with her when she got assigned to patrol the border where she found you. I would think if anyone else was in her shoes at that point they would have a similar reaction."
"It's fine, it's fine. I get it don't worry. When my mates piss me off enough, which is almost always, I'm ready to snap at anyone and anything." I told her.
"I'm not sure if I should be laughing or relieved." Annabeth replied with a small laugh. "Are you heading to the Hermes cabin? If you are I can show you the way. Then we should probably get you a weapon. Follow me!" I did as I was told and followed Annabeth. To be honest I only complied because I was still kinda scared of her.
After we put my stuff in the Hermes cabin she took me around the side of another cabin. There was what looked like a shed.
"This is my cabin. Cabin 6, Athena." She opened the shed and I saw it was full of weapons. It had everything from daggers and swords, to clubs. Annabeth spoke again. "Ok, now you're going to need to pick out a weapon. Every demigod has some kind of weapon. Apollo kids usually use bows and arrows, some people prefer daggers. Most use a sword. Do you know if you're good with any weapons?" She asked.
"Ivy, Ivy, IVY! Earth to Ivy!" I heard someone call. The voice was different but I recognized it. It wasn't coming from my daydream. I snapped out of it only to find Hope yelling in my ear. I kicked her legs behind her knees, causing her to fall on to the floor, as I wasn't thinking straight.
"Ow. So is that how you say hello now?" I sighed and took the newly mended robes off the counter. I quickly left with Hope hot on my heels. I walked into the leaky cauldron, and then out into muggle London.
In the distance Big Ben chimed thrice signaling it's 3 p.m. One perk of being a half-blood in muggle London is I can talk about places like Big Ben or Tower bridge and say I've actually been there. I walked into my flat, where I headed straight for my room.
As I walked into my room I managed to trip over my broom and land on my bed. "I deserve to lie on my bed. It's been a long day." I decided saying that to no one in particular.
