Conflict Of Pride (Kion X OC)

Chapter 2

By the time Niani makes it back to the hill, the lionesses are all awake and her father is also there with a stern glare on his face. With him, she notices, are lions she doesn't recognize.

A male lion nearly as large as her father with fur a rich shade of tan that almost looks gold, with a red mane and tuft on his tail. By his side, a lioness with a creamier shade of fur and a brown tuft on her tail. With them are two cubs around Niani's age, though one a bit older. One's a male that definitely takes more after his father with the beginnings of a red mane on top of his head, and the other, the elder one, is a female that looks more like her mother.

Cowering a bit and avoiding the gazes of the new lions, she slowly approaches him and sits at his feet. She couldn't even bare to look higher than his paws.

"I specifically told you to stay here with the others. You could have gotten hurt in these unfamiliar lands." Moku scolds her and she nods quietly.

"I know, Dad. I'm sorry. I just really wanted the fresh water." She explains, finally glancing up with her ears pinned back.

The king sighs, relenting his scolding and just nods, understanding that she meant no harm. He still worries as a father does. He turns back to the new lions and gestures to his daughter with a nod of his head. "This is my daughter, Niani. Niani, these will be our hosts for the time being. King Simba, his queen, Nala, and his cubs, Kiara and Kion." He introduces them.

Niani brightens at no longer being in trouble, for now, and the confirmation of them staying in one place for a while. A nice and fertile place, too. "Does this mean we can go see Pride Rock up close?"

Simba chuckles and nods. "Yes, it does. Kion, Kiara, why don't you take her ahead home? Us adults will catch up soon." Kion nods and steps forward with a smile, Kiara by his side.

"Hey, I'm Kion. C'mon, let's go show you Pride Rock." He says and takes off in a run towards the large rock formation.

"Kion! Slow down!" Kiara shouts behind him before running as well. Even though Niani was still tired, her own excitement won and she runs after the Pridelander cubs.

Pretty soon, they arrive to the large home, which Niani found even more magnificent up close. "Whoa." She breathes out, clearly in awe. She barely registered the conversation between the siblings, until she sees Kiara walking off from the corner of her eye. "Where is she going?" She asks, turning towards Kion.

"Off to find her friends, Zuri and Tiifu. She normally goes tracking with them around this time." He explains to her and steps a bit closer. "Do you want to rest a bit, or take a tour?"

As much as she would love a tour, her small body is finally ready to give out. She trudges over to a nearby flat stone and hops on top of it, laying down. "I wanna nap..."

Kion chuckles and hops on beside her, laying down close beside her as they both napped under the sun.
