Kleinsen (I don't have a name for this)

I suddenly felt the urge to write this. It's based on the BMC song "Voices in my Head". It's pretty cliche and 100% floof. Also, I don't just write Kleinen, but it worked best for this one-shot because I wanted Jared to be In Jeremy's position, for obvious reasons. Anyway's, enjoy.

Summary: Jared has a crush on Evan, and the squad helps him get together

Tw: Extremely cliche (Also I think they swear like once)

word count: 710

"You gotta buy him a rose," Alana said. "Compliment him on his clothes."

Jared had finally told the squad about his raging gay crush he had on Evan, so, of course, they were showing him the charms he needed to win the boys heart.

Jared didn't ask for the tips, but it must've of been obvious that he had no idea what he was doing.

"Say you appreciate that he's smart." Zoe piped in.

"Does, this stuff seriously work?" Jared wrinkled his nose.

"Nah, man. You have to tell Evan that he excites you sexually." Connor said, slapping him on the back.

Jared shot the emo a glare and shoved his hands into his jean pockets.

"Look, I don't even know if he's into guys. I can't just start saying this stuff to him, he'll know somethings up."

The three of them seemed to roll their eyes in sync at that.

"Trust me, we know how this is gonna go," Alana said, a small smile playing on her lips.

"He'll reject me and our lifetime friendship will go down the drain?" Jared guessed.
Another eye roll.

"Dude, he's totally into you," Zoe stated matter of factly.

"Now, go get your boy," Connor smirked, pushing Jared towards the exit.

"I er- are you sure about this, guys?" Jared stammered.

"Yes, this will go perfectly!" Zoe beamed, with a bit too much enthusiasm in her voice, although Jared had to admit, it did sound believable.

~Timeskip brought to you by the voices in my head~

A half an hour later, Jared was standing on Evan doorstep, holding a single bright red rose. Jared's pointer finger hovered over the doorbell as he debated whether or not he was really about to do this.

As he stood there, he had made a mental list of pros and cons.

Pros

-Everyone one seemed to be convinced Evan did like him back.

-He had already bought the rose and was standing in front of Evan's house, so he might as well just get it over with. (There was also the chance that Evan had already noticed Jared. He had been outside his house for a while.)

-Jared wasn't sure how much longer he could keep the crush a secret so it was bound to slip out sooner or later.

  cons

-He was deathly afraid of rejection.

Finally, Jared took a shaky breath and rung the doorbell. A jumble of thoughts ran through his brain. They alternated between 'of course he likes you back' and 'you'll never be good enough for him.'

Jared was about to turn back when he heard footsteps. Each time the pounding came closer to the door until it swung open, and he was face to face with Evan.

"Hey," Evan greeted he looked a bit confused but went with it.

"Hey, Ev." Jared nodded towards him.

"Do you need something or-"

"I like your outfit." He blurted out. Evan's eyes narrowed and he looked down at the same blue polo shirt and wore every day.

"Um, thanks?" Evan replied, clearly confused. "Do you want to come inside?"

"No." Jared shook his head and tried to swallow the lump in his throat.
He paused, contemplating what he was going to say.

"Okay, so. There's something that's been on my mind for a while now, and I know it might be weird." Jared took another deep breath, suddenly finding the ground very interesting. "I like you, Evan."

Jared sighed and found the nerve to look up at the boy.

"Are you going to gift me with a response or...?" He trailed off and furrowed his eyebrows together with perplexion as Evan started to laugh. "Why are you laughing?"

"No shit, Jared." Evan heaved out between cackles.

"Wait- You knew?"

"Yes, It was so obvious!" Evan perched his body against the door frame to prevent himself from falling over.

"And...Do you like me back?" Jared asked sheepishly.

Evan got his snickering under control and grinned ear to ear.
"Yes, you dork. Of course, I like you back."

Jared smiled love drunkenly and let out a breath he'd been holding in for a while.

"You up for lunch sometime, just us two?" He asked.

"I'm free on Saturday," Evan responded.

"It's a date," Jared stated happily.

I wasn't really sure how to end this, sorry.
