Chapter 14: Little Flame

oof i made a theory about her dad and then it got out of hand so i turned him into a crazy mad scientist. he is just a mysterious character we never learned much about in the show. like why did they send kal and kara to earth when they figured out how to save argo city. idk i think it was a lie that they didn't know if they could save it in time. obviously they did save it in time. and and the ancient cult made its way into the government. suspicious????? if argo city was fine all that time why were they shit at communicating to earth when they had the most advanced technology. kara's father had a mysterious death after he saved argo city and i think it was for some actual reason. maybe we will legitimately hear more about him in the actual season five. sorry not sorry for the rant but it made this cool and inspired me  ;)

Kara has finally made it to the Fortress of Solitude but before she can do anything she needs to contact Alex and Lena. Kara hooks up some Kryptonian crystals to transmit a moving image of herself onto Alex's phone.

Alex: Oh Kara it's you. You're alive!

Kara: Yes, just barely.

Kara points out her charred clothing and her soot covered face and hair.

Alex: I'm surprised that much of you survived that blast. It had a four mile radius.

Kara: It was the most powerful explosion I've ever been hit by. I'm surprised I didn't get knocked out.

Kara pulls out her phone and melted glasses.

Kara: Even Lena's titanium suit couldn't handle this blast. My phone was melted and so were my glasses.

Alex: No, not the glasses dad gave you! What are we going to do?

Kara: I'm not sure. But before I call Lena, what time is it?

Alex: It's 3:58 you were going crazy fast. We picked up on our radar that you did in fact pass Mach 10 before you tagged onto the missile. I can't believe my sister has gone into high hypersonic speeds! You're amazing!

Kara: Wow.

Alex: How did it feel?

Kara: Like my body wanted to rip itself apart...

Alex: Incredible!

Kara: ... but it also felt like it wanted me to keep going.

Alex: Oh wow, okay. Goodbye, I love you.

Kara: I love you too, bye.

Kara disconnects the transmission and switches it to Lena.

Lena: Oh! What is this? Kara?

Kara: I've made it to my fortress. I was attacked by anti aircraft missiles on my way here. My phone was destroyed so I couldn't call you normally.

Lena: This is fine and quite interesting how you are contacting me. Are you okay?

Kara: I survived but the explosion destroyed your suit.

Lena: Not my suit! Well I'm glad you are alright. You look like you've gone through hell.

Kara does her dorky laugh.

Kara: Yeah, I quite literally went through a titanium melting explosion that had a blast radius of four miles. I'm lucky I can even talk to you right now.

Lena: I'm glad you can too. I was very worried and knowing you were attacked upsets me.

Kara: Even my glasses were melted. Now I don't know what I'll use for my interview tomorrow.
