The two sisters continue their heavy banter about this mysterious test.

"You want me to what!"

"Please it will only take an hour maximum! There is a really good chance you will be fine okay?"

"Nuh uh, I have to go back to Lena, I told her I was just running errands. Not infusing myself with deadly amounts of Kryptonite and poking myself with needles."

"I'm your boss! Please, please, please there's no other way to create a vacuum!"

"Fine! no longer than forty-five minutes and don't tell me I told you so!"

Alex puts a body monitoring suit onto Kara to watch her vitals. Since sound waves in space can't travel in space there is no way for Kara to speak to Alex, only the other way around with certain frequencies. Alex can now see where Kara is when she's on her test run.

Kara begins to fly towards the sky. "Wow kiddo you are already flying so fast. I'm just wondering if this is on purpose because this is close to your top speed. You have already gone hypersonic past Mach 5."

Kara has already reached the thermosphere and is on her way to the vacuum of space. She can hear Alex's voice "Alright you are almost there, just believe me. Your body is too strong to undergo the effects of a vacuum so no oxygen will escape you. But please wait it out. It's safer than in water. If you lose consciousness you will just fall ok, straight down into the mountains."

Kara is able to look out at the darkness of space as her sister speaks into her ear. She feels weightless outside the Earths atmosphere. Kara closes her eyes as her body drifts towards the Earth. Without oxygen her head becomes light. She can barely hear Alex's voice due to the lack of oxygen's her brain. "Just trust me Kara." Kara's eyes snap open and she gasps for non-existent air, grasping into the abyss with her hands.

I'm awake. I'm still conscious in space.

Enough minutes had passed by that would have made this deadly. But Kara could still think and her body didn't feel the need for oxygen. It was relying on something else.

This feels so weird and unnatural.

Those were her last thoughts before looking around space and blacking out. It's a strange feeling looking out into space, completely stomach dropping. Much like the gut wrenching feeling you get when looking down at great heights. Her mind wasn't used to the feeling nor the lack of oxygen, causing her to lose consciousness. Her flaccid body comets back down on fire as she crashes into the Rocky Mountains outside National City. Causing a sizable impact on the geology.

"Kara are you awake?" Kara takes in a colossal gasp of air, opening her eyes to Lena's face. "Alex said you passed out while you were shopping. She said to tell you that 'the test was a success' whatever that means."

Lena? I'm in my loft, how did I get here?

Kara sits up only to be immediately met with Lena putting a wet cloth on her forehead and attempting to push her back down onto the couch. Key word attempting.

I could sit up if I really wanted to!

"Lena I'm fine really it was nothing. I didn't even hit my head" Lena then backs away, and Kara sits up beginning to breath really hard. "I guess it was just hot and I couldn't breathe. I was just short of breath, I'm fine now."

Short of breath is the understatement of the year. I was in the vacuum of space! Space!

"Kara your temperature was through the roof you must sit down!" Lena unknowingly thinks she has a fever.
