Meet Me In The Middle
It’s been gone now, for so long now
You may think I haven’t noticed, but you better think again
You’ve been changing, rearranging
All the things we had together, girl we’re no more now than friends
I don’t know now, I don’t know how
We can put this all behind us and start over once again
I can see it and I can feel it
But I don’t know how to do it, get back the way we were back then
I can’t see this getting better, every time I have to let her
Do the things that make her happy, even though they bring me down
I remember when we started, I thought we would never part yet
If she don’t meet me in the middle, I won’t be there in the end
Now I’m asking, please stop masking
The real way you feel, I need to know the truth right now
If you want me, please don’t taunt me
Just quit playing all the games so we can get this back somehow
I can’t see this getting better, every time I have to let her
Do the things that make her happy, even though they bring me down
I remember when we started, I thought we would never part yet
If she don’t meet me in the middle, I won’t be there in the end
