Love Again Someday

I looked at you as an answer to my dreams

The falling star I wished upon

You were everything I wanted so it seemed

But before I had it

I turned and it was gone

Was I just a fool

To pour out my heart

Just to have you turn around

And tear it apart

I thought you felt the way I do

An answer to your prayers

But I was no more than a friend to you

The love I felt

You never had to share

Was I so blind

That I could never see

That a woman like you could ever

Love a man like me

So I’ll move along, alone once again

Don’t even hold a thought of me

I was a fool, but you will always be my friend

Just give me time

To let my heart break free

The hurt will go

The tears will fade away

Then I’ll open my heart again

And love again someday
