The Wind Cries
Sitting all alone, I watch the clock up on the wall
As it ticks away the seconds of the day
And as each second passes by
I hear the wind, as it cries
Today, today
Walking to the window, I feel her presence in the room
I can’t stop the shivers up my spine
And as my sorrow grows inside
I hear the wind as it cries
It’s time, it’s time
I haven’t felt this lonely
Since I can’t remember when
I look around at four dark walls
I wish I had a friend
But she was the only friend
In this city, I had
But now she’s gone
It’s plain to see, I’m sad
Looking out the window I see the city down below
People going everywhere at one time
I wish that they would stop for me
Maybe stop and talk to me
Sometime, sometime
I open up the window and wonder if this is right
Then I remember that night, I begin to cry
And as I drift to eternity
I hear the wind as it cries
Good-bye, good-bye
