By the time 8th period rolled around, the guys had gotten pretty close with Freddie and me. And as crazy as it may seem, these guys made me feel like I had known them since diaper days. I had immediately figured out that Justin had a wall built around him that stated that he was a cocky, flirty jerk who went around stomping on innocent girl's hearts. In reality though, once you got to know him he was actually quite caring and protective over his friends. Liam was quickly revealed to be the jester of the group, always cracking jokes during class or when things got a little too intense for his liking. Shawn was undeniably the most perverted out of all the guys, even more so than Freddie, which was saying something. And Kyle was the caring, sweet boy of the group, and not nearly as big of a jerk as the rest of the guys. He was always a gentleman, and tried to change the conversation when the guys went on and on about various girls. The dudes were really comical and extraordinarily entertaining, and I couldn't help but be happy that for once I wasn't stuck on a mission where I had to befriend a bunch of gossipy girls. I couldn't stand gossip, as practically anyone could tell, so whenever I had to get close to the popular crowd of girls as a part of my mission, I could never really get fully in character.

Getting close to these guys is just going to make it even harder for you later when you have to betray them, a little nagging voice hissed in the back of my mind.

Shut it, voice, I growled angrily. I am finally having the high school experience I never got. Just let me have some fun!

Just don't say I didn't warn you... the voice trails off menacingly. I roll my eyes at my stupid self, and zone back into the conversation.

"So, I heard there's a sub in Mr. Slavic's class today..." Liam says suggestively, raising his eyebrows up and down rapidly, before making them do the wave.

"Don't tell me - you want to pull a stunt on her," Kyle says with a roll of his eyes. We all smile a little at Liam's immature behavior. He could never pass up a chance to put down an authoritive figures.

"Hey, you said it, not me," Liam smugly replies, turning his 250 watts grin on full-blast.

"So," I ask in defeat, "what's the plan of attack?"

******

We enter Mr. Slavic's class noisily, glancing at the sub and grinning evilly at each other. Our classmates immediately know that something's up, and I have a feeling that for some of our classmates this will be the first and last time they pay attention in class all year. They anticipate the show we're about to put on, and I couldn't help but agree.

"Okay, settle down, class. We have to get started. Everybody take a seat." I smiled angelically at the sub, before sitting on Justin's lap.

"Miss, I told you to take a seat," the sub, Mrs. Freeson, said sternly.

"But I am sitting," I said innocently. I heard a few snickers.

"Sit in your assigned seat, honey. Now," Mrs. Freeson commanded again.

"But, this is my assigned seat. I can't help it if my friend here already occupied it. Plus, Mrs. Freeson, you of all people should know that this is a free country, and I, as a citizen of America, have the right to sit wherever I would like to." The innocent snickers turned into full on chortles. I felt Justin shaking with silent laughter under my legs, and bit my lip to keep from laughing.

"What is your name?" Mrs. Freeson asked, all pretenses of kindness gone.

"Well, that really depends on who you ask. Some call me Sharquisha, while to others I'm known as Rachelle. Although most just call me 'Newbie.'"

"Please pack your bags and go out into the hall, young lady, right now," Mrs. Freeson demanded.

"No, I don't think I will, but thanks for the kind offer," I sarcastically replied.

"You have detention, now get out of my classroom!" The sub said, loosing her patience.

"I don't believe this is your classroom, m'am, but fair enough," I replied calmly. A lazy smile crept up my face. Did this old geezer think she was intimidating? I turned on Justin's lap to face him, and I realized just how close in proximity Justin and I were. He hesitantly leaned forwards to close that gap. I couldn't help the small smile that curved my lips when I remembered what happened to him the last time he tried to kiss me. Our lips brushed, and tingles immediately erupted on my pink lips, spreading throughout my whole body and warming me up like a slowly bronzing marshmallow. I leaned into the kiss, deepening it, and smiled again against his feather-soft puffy red pillows. Justin wrapped his muscular arms around my neck, and I ran my fingers through his silky hair. I playfully bit his lip, and he moaned ever so slightly. I barely contained a moan myself.

SLAM!!

A hand came down on the desk in front of us, causing us to jump apart. I heard hoots of laughter and wolf whistles come from out classmates, and I saw Justin's face get a light coating of pink. I felt myself blush, and I glanced up at Mrs. Freeson, still partially in a daze.

"Out!" she shrilled. I raised one eyebrow while smirking at Justin, and sauntered out of the room, pleased with my work of traumatizing the substitute.
