Chapter 18

Katie's wedding ⬆

Jade's POV

The morning when I woke up there was something in the pit of my stomach and gut feelings that something was going to be wrong. But I shrugged it. Today is Katie's wedding and unfortunately for me I'm the maid of honor. And the more unfortunate thing is that their wedding is in the beach! It was my wedding plan since I was a child. I told Katie everything about my wedding plan and now she's using my idea!! What more will she steal from me.

"Now is the time", the wedding planner's voice made me daze out. She was waving her hand at my face. "You zoned out, btw get ready, it's your turn now. Bridesmaid also get ready, you'll go after Jade".

Katie's friends we're all excited except for me. But I put up a brave face, so what she stole my wedding plan. All my friends and family members know about Drew and me and I really don't want their pity. Xavier and I hadn't seen each other since morning. I was busy because of the bridesmaid work. While walking down the aisle my eyes was searching for the one person. As if he knew I was looking for him he waved at me with a smile.

"You look beautiful", he mouthed.

I thanked him silently.

As I took in my position the wedding music started. Katie was walking down with his father. She was wearing a way too revealing for it to be a wedding dress. The Pastor did his work and when it came to "I do" Part Drew was silent for a second or two, he was looking at me but I looked away.

"I do", Drew said with a sigh.

" Now you may kiss the bride ", he pastor said.

They kissed briefly which was a shock for me.

" Now I pronounce you husband and wife ".

They walked down the aisle.

" Finally!! ", Lexi chriped raising her hands in the air.

" Yeah, let's go to the reception, I'm hungry ", Jason said.

I was watching them with a content smile because I have my amazing friends I don't need Drew.

" Hey, are you okay? ", Xavier asked as he approach me.

I lean into him as he placed his hand on my waist. " Yeah, I'm perfectly fine ", I said with a content sigh. " I already forgave them".

"That's very kind of you, Jade", he said kissing the crown ofy head. " Now let's go, they are already outside ".

Laughing we went out of the church.

Both Jason and were eating like a pig.

" Guys chill, it's not like the food is running out ", Xavier said chuckling.

" What? ", Jason looked up at him.

" We're just doing what's right, Drew broke Jade's heart so we're eating all his food as a revenge ", Lexi chriped in.

" You guys are  silly ", I laughed heartily.

" We're avenging you, Jade ", both shouted.

All the guests beside our table looked at both of them with narrow eyes. We were trying hard not to laugh.

Both of the shrunk at their seats, they both blushed because of embarrassment. " Sorry", they squeak.

"We'll eat all their food", they said.

" Aren't you gonna be sick if you eat so much food? ", I asked concern for their health.

" Umm, I think you're right", Lexi said looking kind of green.

"Lexi, are you okay? ", Xavier asked. " You look kinda green ".

" Yeah", me and Jason agreed.

"No, I have to go to the bathroom", Lexi stood up in a flash. " Why is the bloody bathroom so far! ", she ran out of the reception.

We all laughed out loud at her misery. Again all the guest narrowed their eyes at us. We just simply ignored them.

" Anyway, Jade eat something, you haven't touched your food ", Xavier caressed my cheek with his nuckles.

" Hmm", I hummed eating my food.

"What's taking Lexi so long? ", Jason voiced out.

" Yeah, have you seen? The bride is also not here", Xavier said. "Do you think Lexi will do something to her? "

"I don't think so, she's not like that", I protest.

" I hope so", both Jason and Xavier said at the same time.

A few minutes later Lexi was running towards us with a shock somehow happy expression.

"Guys, you wouldn't believe what I just saw!! ", she exclaimed.
