**Jade's Christmas gift**

Jade's POV

The whole Christmas Eve was merry except for Sandra who was glaring hole in my head. I think if glare can shoot bullets I would be already death. But her glare became 10x vicious when Xavier gave me the limited edition of Angel Wing (expanding photo locket) as Christmas gift. The locket was full of our happy memories. I couldn't stope crying when he confess again that he loves me in front of his family. Today is New year eve and Xavier invited everyone in the family and friends circle to celebrate it tonight.

"There you are! We've been looking for you everywhere", Jason said coming near me.

" We? ", I asked with a raised eyebrow.

" Yeah, me, Lexi, Xavier, your parents", he said with a duh tone.

"Oh! ", I said sipping my red wine.

" What are you doing here in the balcony? ", he asked inhaling the chilly air with closed eyes.

" Nothing, I felt a little bit stuffy inside so I came in here", I said leaning on the balcony grill.

"Is it because of the ugly fat bitch? ", he asked referring Sandra.

" Who else would it be", I stated more than asking. "I believe in Xavier but it's just not that easy to bear it".

" Yeah, I hate her too", he said leaning on the balcony grill. "She's a attention seeking bitch".

Softly laughing I sipped the red wine. Misty fog are forming from our mouth while sighing because of the cold. " What happen again while I was here? "

"Well, she tried to make a scene and tried to have others sympathy", he said rolling his eyes. " She can be a goddamn actress if she act like this, so pretentious ".

" Haha, that's her. She's trying to frame me for a while after the Christmas Eve ", I said softly chuckling

" What a bitch! I hate Xavier's parents too, why would they bring her here? ", he said rolling his blue eyes.

" It's not their fault, they didn't know about me", I said. "I believe if they knew about me, they wouldn't have brought her here".

" Sometimes you're too naive ", he said taking my wine from me. " That's enough, stop drinking. You don't want to be drunk before midnight".

"Whatever", I said rolling my eyes.

" Let's go in, everyone is in there", he said grasping my hand tugging me with him.

"Walk slowly, I don't have tall legs like you", I complained pouting.

" Shut up shortie, hurry up or else we'll be late for countdown", he scolds tugging me again.

"Bitch", I joked sticking out my tongue.

" Let's go! ", he ordered.

" Jason, Jade, where were you guys? ", Lexi asked jogging towards us.

" We were in the balcony ", Jason replied before me. " Where are you coming from and where is everyone? "

"It's almost midnight, they're all in the rooftop for the countdown", she said. " I was here because I was looking for you guys ".

" If you are here where is Xavier? ", Jason asked.

" He's with the guests ", Lexi replied.

" What?", Jason asked angrily. "Jade was alone in the balcony and he's with the guests! "

"Hey, it's okay. It's his duty", I said. " It's not that he left me willingly, he left because he had too".

"Idc at least he could've waited if he can't find you", Jason said folding his arms around his chest. Lexi also agreed to him.

" Okay, let's go and not argue with each other, the countdown might start ", I said tugging them with me.

When we reached the rooftop the countdown already started. " I need to find Xavier, you guys can go enjoy ", I said not waiting for their reply.

People were counting. The whole rooftop was crowded would be an understatement. When they reached counting within 3 I saw Xavier with Sandra. His back was facing to me. They look like talking about something. As I was about to touch him suddenly everyone cheered up wishing new year. I was a bit starlet but when I looked up Sandra was kissing Xavier. The kiss was short. I was about to say something but Sandra beat me to it.

"Oh, Jade, I didn't saw you there", Sandra said smirking.

Seeing her smirking I knew she did that on purpose. Xavier immediately turned around. His face was pale with worry. He must've thought I believed her scams.

" Well not everyone can see precious things ", I rolled my eyes tugging Xavier in my side.

Her eyes twitch with anger but she composed herself immediately. " Btw sorry for the kiss but what can I say I'm irresistible ", she said smugly.

" As far as I saw you forcefully kissed him", I said in a duh tone rolling my eyes and folding my arms. "Anyway think of it as a charity work from my man", I said "my man" word more loudly. Taking out my hanker chip I wipe out his mouth.

"You! --", before she could say anything I beat it to her, " Anyway we're going".

"Where are you going it's not over", she exclaimed.

" Well we need to go to the bathroom, Xavier's lips touched spoiled smelly things so he needs to brush his teeth", I said smiling and tugging him with me not giving her a chance to say anything.

Laughing Xavier took my hand making way in the crowd, "let's go, I need to brush".

I only nodded.

" You know I didn't kiss her willingly, she caught me off guard ", he explained himself when we were out of people sight.

I hugged him to me, " I know and I trust you, you don't have to explain ".

" I love you", he said leaning into me but I stopped him midway.

"Woah, stop there, I mention it when I said you have to brush your teeth", I said placing my hand on his lips. " I won't kiss you if you as long as you don't brush your teeth ".

Laughing he hugged me and said, " Your wish is my command your highness ".
