Chapter 9

Jade's POV

From the afar I was constantly looking at Xavier. I don't know what my dad and uncle's were saying to him. I'm afraid he'll blow up our cover. But he look relaxed from here. And as I can see they are laughing at some jokes. Seeing Xavier smile I unknowingly smiled. Mom saw me smiling at Xavier she nudge me wiggling her perfectly plugged eyebrows.

"I like him. I totally support your relationship".

" Thank you mom. I really like him too."

As I was talking to mom about my new discovered baking some of my aunts and cousins approached us.

"What is your boyfriend's name jade? " Samantha my youngest aunt asked who is only 2 years older than me. He's so hot.

"Xavier. But as much as I appreciate your compliment but he's mine", I joked with her. Because of the age difference between us we act like friends.

" Oh no! He's all yours I wouldn't dare to steal him", she mocked holding her hands high in surrender. Anyway jade  he's thousands time better than Drew.

Hearing his name all the color from my face drained. Seeing my discomfort she quickly changed the topic.

Anyway does he have a brother or cousin? Seeing him I can gurente that they would be hot as him, she joked. I would like to bang his brother if he had any.

We all laughed at her words. Soon we all engaged ourselves with different topics about our usual ongoing daily life. Mom and some of my aunts called us for dinner at the dinning table. Xavier came to me holding out his hand for me. I took his hand in mine. We fitted perfectly. I don't know what Xavier was thinking but he held my hand softly. At the dinning table he held out a chair for me to sit. All the girls awwed at his sweet gesture. Mom slapped dads arm, 'you should learn this kind of gentleman gestures from him', she said.

"I think Xavier should teach us how to be romantic", dad joked.

" Everything for my queen ", Xavier said looking at me with a soft smile . I was looking at his eyes. Aww sound heard from my side but I didn't care. I was drowned in his ocean blue eyes.

" Okay, love birds. Stop being cheesy my single ass can't handle this much sweetness ", aunt Samantha joked.

We all started to dine. Xavier cut the roast chicken for me. Thanking him I started to eat the chicken. I didn't know every one was starring at us. The girls awed and dad nodded his head as a gesture of permission. I can see he also liked Xavier. What I didn't know was that Katie was starring at us all the time glaring at me.

"So Xavier, how long are you two together? ", Katie asked. I glared at her. None of your business Katie. I glared hardly.

" Why? I was just curious ", she shrugged. That manipulating bitch. Xavier touched my thigh to stop me from my sharky remarks. I listened to his silent message and stop myself from answering her.

" I met Jade 3months ago at a bar", he lied without blinking. She was drinking alone and when I saw her face I was immediately stunned by her beauty. So I approached her. As we talked that night I knew that she was not only beautiful from the outside but also from the inside. We exchange phone numbers. From that night I courted her daily and it was my ultimate mission to woo her, he laughed. But after trying one and half month she finally gave in and here we are now. She's the best thing that ever happened to me, Xavier said looking at me.

Everyone at the dinning table was silent at Xavier's confession. They were all stunned. Everyone was beaming with happiness for me except for Katie and Drew. Katie was scowling and Drew was glaring at Xavier. At this moment I didn't care about Drew. I kissed Xavier's cheek and whispered a thank you to him. Anytime, he replied.

"What do you do for living Xavier", Drew asked. I glare at him but he was looking at Xavier with challenging eyes. Then I looked at Xavier for his answer. Drew was looking suspiciously at Xavier. But Xavier was relaxed. Outside I was relaxed but inside I was panicking, he can't tell them he's a bartender.

" Family business ", Xavier replied shortly.

" What kind of family business? ", Drew pushed.

I was angry now. He's interrogating him now. He has no right to interrogate him. " Drew, he don't have to answer you", I said coldly.

"It's okay babe", Xavier said. Have you heard about the knight hotels?

" Yeah, it's a multinational hotel company ", dad said. Drew only nodded.

" Well, it's our family business. Now my father is the current CEO but soon I'll take his place ", he said.

Everyone was surprised and drew was gapping at him open mouthed. Even I was surprised. Why did he lie that big. We'll get caught.

" Wait a minute, you're the Xavier knight. The heir of knight industries?", Dad asked astonished

"Yeah, I finished my studies on business from Oxford a few years ago and I'm now helping dad to increase his business in America too", he finished.

I was dying inside. We'll now definitely get caught, I thought to myself. My self pride will be crushed. I was now glaring at Xavier. He really messed up.

" Jade why didn't you tell me your boyfriend is a multi billionaire ", mom whispered.

" I even didn't knew mom", I gritted my teeth.

"I didn't tell her my whole identity Mrs. King. I didn't want to scare Jade with this kind of information", Xavier saved me. I don't want her to run away from me, he joked. She's too precious for me to lose.

Every one was happy for me except I was glaring at Xavier. The whole evening was normal. Katie and Drew didn't disturbed us again. By time we had to leave. We said our goodbye to them. In the car I was glaring at Xavier the whole time.

"Alright, what's the problem Jade? " He asked. You're glaring at me the whole time. It's creeping me out.

"Why did you lie like that? We'll definitely get caught".

"Don't worry. I got it".

" How can I not? What if they find out or what if they went on the knight hotel?

"I know some one from there and they'll only go to the American branch hotel. So no problem. Besides they can't go London. If they go I'll manage something. I know some people".

" How", I asked.

"Perks of being a bartender, you know people", he simply said.

" Okay I trust you but what will you do about business?

"Don't worry, I got this".

I guess I have to trust him in this.
