"Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success" - Edward Everette Hale
The next day, we woke up and got ready to fly back to Seoul. BTS had a few more days to practice for the FESTA. The schedules were really packed but Manager Sejin still made sure that they get ample sleep.
From checking choreography to lighting on the stage, makeup to costume fittings, BTS had to go through so much just to prepare for FESTA. Each member took the time to check everything just to make sure everything was perfect, they didn't want to disappoint the armies.
The day before the Festa, everyone was told to go back early as we will have a long day tomorrow. Management insisted that everyone have lunch together at the cafeteria in the stadium before they take their breaks for the day. Apparently the management ordered from a local caterer famous for their home-cooked food.
I was walking alone to the cafeteria because Jaeyoon and Hyeri were very hungry and they rushed to the cafeteria when it was almost time for lunch. I was told that there was a secret way to the cafeteria from the backstage but I ran into a few dead ends and ended up walking from the main stage. It seemed like there were more directions to the cafeteria in the main stage than the backstage.
The stage seemed dark, only with a few hints of lights peeping from the doors to the hallway. I walked towards the only door that was open. As I was walking, I heard footsteps. The stadium was so big that there were echoes in the stadium, I couldn't point of the direction of the sound. I hastened my footsteps, in hopes that the person wouldn't be caught up to me and then kill me and leave me by the rubbish bin.
I gasped as someone held onto my elbow. My eyes widen. Oh My God, I'm going to die, am I? There were flashes of regret for not learning self-defence lesson when I had the chance.
"Noona," Jungkook turned me around to face him. "You walk very fast for a short girl." I managed to recognise him from his moles underneath his nose and lips as we were almost by the door now. His facial features were accentuated by the light from the hallway.
"Oh my god, I almost died back there," I said as I released the breath that I did not know I was holding on to. "Why are you alone? Weren't you supposed to be there already?" I asked as I checked my watch. 1:00PM
Jungkook giggled, "Noona, is that why you were walking so fast? You thought someone was going to kidnap you?" He guided me to walk with him as he held onto my right elbow.
"Jungkook ah, that's not funny. It's really dangerous here, especially since it's so dark."
"Ok, ok I'm sorry. Don't be angry, I just wanted to walk with you that's all, next time I'll just shout 'Y/N' out loud so that you'll know it's me." Jungkook pulled me closer to him and placed his hand over my shoulders as if he was giving me a hug. I felt kind of small standing next to him.
"But how did you know it was me?" I was curious how he managed to know it was me when there are so many staffs in the stadium today.
"Easy! Your purple bag pack. As far as I know, the staffs don't bring around a purple bag pack like yours," I could sense his smirk as he replied. "I wonder what did the management order today," Jungkook asked. "Any ideas, noona?"
"Hmm... I'm not sure either," I replied as we were almost to the cafeteria. Jungkook pressed on the button for the automatic doors to open. The cafeteria smelled so good, savoury with a hint of barbeque smell.
"Galbi-jjim!!" Jungkook shouted and ran for the food.
"Woah, it smells so good in here," I said to myself as I queued up for the food.
