Damian
I stared at the board blankly as my phone vibrated in my pocket. Marcel paused in his speech and threw me a quick glimpse. I gestured for him to carry on when the buzzing stopped. "So I believe after looking at stock reports-" My phone's vibrating interrupted the meeting once again. I let out a small breath and pulled out my phone. I glimpsed at the contact, my brows furrowing in confusion. Why was she calling me now? I rolled my eyes and turned off the vibration mode in my settings and set my phone down on the table. Marcel carried on but, my attention was held not by him but, the device in front of me. My phone lit up every few seconds with a new message from her. She seemed to be relentless once again however, this time I wondered why she was. She couldn't want to have sex during work hours? Could she?
"Mr Lockwood," Evan whispered. I nodded, "Rom-"
"What about them?" I emphasised the pronoun to Evan, so if anyone eavesdropped he or I wouldn't be giving away my personal affairs.
"They're on the phone. They claim it is urgent." I nodded and stood abruptly. "Excuse me, I have an important matter to take care of." I swiftly left the room and walked to my office, closing the door behind myself. I answered the call on my own phone as she had decided to ring once again on my phone. "What Adrianna? I was in the middle of a meeting!" Annoyance was starkly clear in my voice as I answered her.
"Well, it must've not been that important. You answered my call-"
"Because you've been calling and texting me non stop!" I bit back especially angry that she interrupted a business meeting. However, she was right and that annoyed me even more. It was a boring meeting that hadn't interested me and probably didn't even require my attendance but, I wouldn't give sweet little Adrianna the satisfaction of being correct.
"Don't act like that with me Damian." Adrianna bit back as well.
"Here's a suggestion why don't you stop calling and texting me during work hours." My suggestion came out as more of a demand over the phone.
"Okay." She paused. A brief feeling of relief washed over me as I finally thought the girl with the fiery attitude would finally listen to me, "But-" I sighed why did I ever think she could just listen to me? This was Adrianna and for a second she had me fooled that she would actually listen to my suggestion-no demand but, Jesus I was a clown for thinking she would ever and I mean ever listen to me.
"Adrianna!"
"Listen, Dame, I'm hungry."
"Are you fucking serious?!" I shouted, running a hand through my hair. She really blew up my phone because of her hunger? This girl. I rubbed my temples, anger boiling inside of me but, a slight emotion of amusement taking over and dispelling my anger. I couldn't deny that I found it funny that she had blown up my phone for her hunger. What surprised me the most was that I allowed her to do things like this-I guess this is what happens when your actual friends with the girl you're fucking.
"Stop shouting Damian Jesus!" She shouted at me. The hypocrisy!
"Sweetheart you're really testing my patience." I bit the end of my tongue to refrain from cursing her out.
"Well, I'm hungry."
"You've got a fridge sweetheart. I honestly don't know what you want me to do." I sighed, exasperated.
"Well, I have no food and I don't want Pot noodle. Since you're my daddy you can take me to dinner." My brows shot up to further express the surprise I was feeling. She, without any shame, openly called me her 'daddy.' I blinked a few times, at a loss of words and not being able to think properly at the sudden causal statement.
