Salaam everyone! Sorry for the late update! I am hoping you are enjoying the first week of school! Enjoy this mysterious chapter!

Ahh. It just feels good to just relax after so many things happening. I finally am used to Abbas being here and I am okay with it. I get out of my bed and brush my teeth. I put on some fancy Punjabi clothes and throw a headscarf around my head.
I start walking down the hall, "Oof," I look up and I had just bumped into Abbas. Really. No like seriously.
"Assalaam walakium, Abbas! I am so sorry," I say while helping pick up his books. I peak at one and I see cakes and rings on them. Uh Oh. Rings and cakes.
"No, it's okay. I just have to get these down to you mom," Abbas said as he brushed passed me. I couldn't believe what I had just seen. Cakes and ring books! It's fine. I am over it, I think.
"Assalaam walakium mommy," I say while giving her a kiss and I glance at Laila.
"Are you going to greet me?" I turn around and see Laila furious. Oops.
"Sorry! Assalaam walakium Laila!" I say fakely and went to go sit down. I glanced at the coffee table and it was full of more books!
"What are we planning? My next birthday party?" I asked innocently.
"No! We are planning my engagement!" Laila said proudly. I rolled my eyes and got up. I stomped passed them furiously. Uggg. Laila is such a mean bean. She just states all the things she is going to do and look at me, innocent Sakina. Oh, so innocent Sakina. I shouldn't be mad about these things. No really. I am just emotional and I hate it.
"Sakina?" it was Abbas.
"Huh?" I said sloppily. I glanced back and saw him with a sad face.
"Are you okay?" he said while putting his hand on my shoulder. I nudged it off.
"Sure," I replied studying my hands.
"Are you sure. You look pretty mad. You can always talk to me you know," he whispered softly. I looked at him and nodded. I can't believe that I am about to destroy their engagement because of my emotions. Crazy! Isn't it. I knew one thing for a fact that if the planning would go on, it would be impossible!
"I am fine. I will be down in a few minutes. Okay?" I say with a smile.
"Alright!" he replies and then disappears in the sunlight.
"Get it together Sakina!" I whisper to myself and then walked a few steps to go down.
Ding Ding Ding
Someone is at the door.
"Sakina can you get the door?" Mommy yelled to ask.
"Sure," I mumbled. I ran down the stairs and fixed my hijab. I opened the door.
"He-"
"Assalaam walakium I am Mehdi, Abbas's 14-year-old brother," I was shocked.
