Ring Ring Ring Ring. The bell for the end of school rung and I got my book bag and left the bathroom silently. I had been in here for about two or three hours. I was tired and my bottom hurt so bad. I walked home with nothing in my mind just Blank. I walked in front of the door and opened it. The smell of safety felt good but not now. Right now, not a good time. I walked in and ran up to my room, locked the door, and sat on my bed. I started to sniffle when I heard a knock on the door. It was a deep voice.
"Sakina, Asalaam walakium!" The deep voice said. I recognized that voice. The voice only left me with a smile but still a frown.
"Dadda! I missed you!" I said while giving my dad a big hug.
"Me too sweetness! Me too," my dad said in a whisper while rubbing my head. I thought about how long he has been away. It had been AGES! I went downstairs and said my greetings to my mom and ate some cake. Food always made me go up when i was down, especially sweets. When we were back in Virginia, Laila would always take the fork full of cake out of my hand and said that one day I would get diabetes type two. Typical Laila and typical me.
It was morning again and I just didn't go to school. Mommy told me just take some time to get your mind settled. I went to the park and brought a book to read. I walked to the park with my sister and went on the swings. I sat on and started swinging while reading.
"Hey!" I heard a voice right next to me.
"It was an Indian girl. She had a pop voice and big eyes, her brown hair was sparkling the sun. She was tall.
"Hi, I said with no enthusiasm. I wanted to try if we could be friends because I needed to get some inspiration for my life.
"What's your name?" She asked me snooping what I was reading.
"Sakina," I said in an annoyed voice.
"My name is Leo. Leo Sebastian," she said with a smile.
"Nice to meet you. What school do you go to? And what grade are you in?" I asked like I was a detective.
"I go to Lucky Middle School and I am in 7th grade," she said while swinging herself. Wow. She was in the same school and grade as me and she was so nice to me.
"You know we should hang out more sometime!" She said while getting off the swing.
"Yeah, we should!" I said enthusiastically. "That would be great!"
I think this was the best day ever since I came to Georgia.
