Chapter 2

THOMAS POV:

I had a ice pack on my head. I was on a bed covered up. "Newt" I mumbled. I remember he stood there. How? I opened my eyes. "Did you sleep well shuck face" asked Minho with his arms crossed. "What happened" I asked. "The runners found you in the maze. You had a necklace in your hand. It seemed important so I left it in your pocket" said Minho. I reached in my pocket and found the necklace. "Anyway, I have to let everyone know you are awake" said Minho. He left. I looked at the necklace. I took the end off and pulled out a letter. I unrolled it and started reading. Dear Thomas, I'm sorry I can't be with you in the maze anymore. Honestly I wish I could. I got my memories back and remember everything. I can't tell you the truth behind the maze but I will tell you it's all in your head. However the maze is different. They took away the sections Tommy. Now you have to find the exit for the other maze.

I want you know that I love you Tommy and I know you will do what's right. So take care of everyone for me and take care of yourself. It's your turn to be the glue that keeps them all together. I also don't want you to be bloody worried about me. I will see you in your dreams. Before I end this letter I want you to know that I'll be watching you from the other side. You can't see me but I'll be watching threw the beetle blades and your dreams. This isn't farewell Thomas. I'll see you later. Goodbye Tommy ❤. Newt. PS I love you. I burst into tears. Newt is still gone. Which also brings the question. How the shuck was he there and how did he leave the letter and necklace? Also what happened to the griever? I put the note back in the necklace. I slowly sat up with the ice pack and put the necklace on. It's my reminder that I will see Newt again. Minho entered the room. "Everyone is at the council hall for a meeting" said Minho. I nodded. "Minho, can you promise me something" I asked. "Depends" said Minho.

"When all this over after we leave the maze I want you to kill me" I said. "Wow shuck face, I understand you miss Newt and all but you can't just ask me to do that" said Minho. "Minho, the love of my life is dead. I will survive to get us out of the maze but when we leave this place I want you to kill me. Please Minho" I said. Minho signed. "Fine, but only because you would kill yourself if I didn't. Now come on, let's go to the council hall" said Minho. I got up and held the ice pack against my head. We agreed to not tell anyone about the promise. I had to sit down in front. The girls brought the straightener and the glanders were using that to tell you will speak. It was mostly about what to do with me. I looked at the floor as I held the ice pack. I didn't care to listen. Either way Newt is gone. Gally tapped my shoulder. I looked up at him. "When did you loose your hearing" he asked. "The night Minho and I were stuck in the maze when Lewis fainted. A griever destroyed my ears" I said. Gally went back to talk to the room. I looked at the floor again.
