Chapter 12

THOMAS POV:

The thingy started to make sounds. Minho grabbed it from his harness and held it. We followed it to a opening. "Okay, anyone who wants to wait here go ahead. Remember the second it's activated this maze will be deadly" said Minho. Minho, a few other runners, and I entered. It looked like the movie. We walked to the end and the thingy opened the walls. Three walls and a hole in the forth. "Tommy" said Newt. "Newt, are you okay" I asked. "Ya, I'm fine" said Newt. He winced in pain. "Are you okay Newt? Is some one hurting you" I asked. We walked up to the hole and waited for the red light. "I'm fine, it's just a bloody snake bite that they are cleaning" said Newt. "A snake" I asked. Everyone looked at me confused. "I was talking to Newt in my head again" I said. "What happened" asked Sonya. "He was bit by a shucking snake" I said. The red later light came and scanned us. "Okay run" said Minho. We all started running. "NEWT WHY THE SHUCK WERE YOU BIT BY A SNAKE" I yelled as I ran.

"I stepped on it while I was running. The venom was removed and I'll be fine" said Newt. We kept running. A boy tripped and we stopped. "Wait, nothing is happening" said a girl. The ground shook. We looked and saw all the walls moving. They moved and we could now see the glade. "Wait there was venom in the snake bite" I asked. "It bloody hurt Tommy" said Newt. We started walking back to the glade. Nothing happened. It wasn't as bad as the movie. We were all confused. "What are you doing" asked Newt. "Trying to solve the maze so I can find you" I said. Newt groaned in pain. "It's okay Newt" I said. "I know Tommy, it just bloody stings" said Newt. We made it back to the glade and a few went to tell Alby. I just sat on the tree fort. "Will you be okay" I asked. "Oh don't worry Tommy. I'll be perfectly fine. My leg will have to heal but I'll be fine. They are mostly angry that I got hurt so they decided to have professionals come and catch the snake and others" said Newt.

"They also said something about my family possible sewing them" said Newt. "Do you think this might all be a tv show" I asked. "Maybe, I just hope the bloody creatures would let you see me" said Newt. I smiled. "Ya, I miss you" I said. "I can't believe I spent three years alone in the maze before I finally met you" said Newt. I was confused. "What do you mean alone" I asked. "You know, I was the only one in the maze till you showed up. I remember mapping the maze by myself. It was really lonely" said Newt. "Newt what are you talking about. You weren't the only one in the maze. Alby was the first to come up. There was other boys here. Ben, Minho, Winston, and. Chuck" I said. I remembered Chuck left the maze. I know he isn't dead but I still miss him two. There was a loud pop. "We're sorry. You two are on 24 hour lock down and aren't aloud to speak to each other for 24 hours. Maybe next time you should follow the rules about what you can and can't talk about. WCKD" said a voice. "NO, NEWT PLEASE CAN YOU HEAR ME" I yelled with my hands on my head. There was no answer. I cried and put my hands down.
