Lucy's pov

It's been 3 days since the whole problem with the drugs and Lana's boyfriend and shit. I haven't seen them since but I know they have made up and are all good now. However for me, i'm not doing well, i mean yeah i've stayed clean since the meth incident, but i'm fucking depressed. It's my birthday tomorrow, i turn 21 and my moms planned this massive party, but I know for a fact I won't be able to drink and i won't be able to invite my friends because she doesn't like or trust them. She's even invited my fucking councillor. Like why?.

Oh i can't believe I forgot, I also found out that Brad (Lana's boyfriend) is best friends with my dad. LMAO. They go golf together and everything, what the actual fuck. I thought I recognised him. My bedroom door opens and my mom, dad and my sister walk in. Well this is strange. "Dinners here honey, but first we want to talk to you" My dad says. I look at them confused and frown my eyebrows. I take a hair band off my desk and tie back my long brown hair. "We want to give you your rights back, from now on you can drink, you can go out, you can do what you want, it's only fair. However.. I will be taking drug tests on you after you've been out" my mom tells me. I can't actually believe what i'm hearing, i'm being treated like an adult as a change.

"Thank you guys, I really want to change i do and I am" I tell them smiling widely. My sister gives me a hug and smiles. "Oh also, straight after your birthday we are going on vacation to greece, loads of family and friends are coming too like Lana and Brad and your uncles and aunties and stuff" My father tells us. I smile widely. Finally we can get out of here. "That sounds really good" I tell them and we all have a family hug.

"Ok quick guys the pizza is getting cold" My sister Jess says and runs downstairs. "she is not stealing all the pepperoni" i say laughing and chase after her. After the pizza we all sit and watch a movie together, which is something I don't think we've done in a while. Partly my fault tho. "I think we all best go to bed there's a lot of people wanting to come round early tomorrow" My dad says and turns the TV off. We all agree and head upstairs. We could all do with a lie in.

"LUCY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY" my sister wakes me up jumping on me while my mom and dad are stood at the door frame smiling at me. I check my phone, it's 9am urghhh why so early. "Sorry darling, no lie in, nana and grandad are coming round about now for breakfast" my dad says and pulls my bed covers off me. I shrug my shoulders and get out of bed, might as well get up. I shove some shorts on and a sweatshirt and just put my hair in a pony tail. I can't be arsed making an effort yet.

I make my way downstairs as my grandparents arrive. "Happy birthday Lucia" my nana says, calling me by my full name. She hugs me tightly and hands me a birthday bag which i thank her for. My grandad wishes me happy birthday and hugs me. "You open your presents while i begin breakfast" my dad tells me. I sit down at the kitchen table with everyone and start opening my grandmas presents, of course they got my underwear and socks how typical. I open there card and $20 falls out. "Thank you nana and grandad" I tell them. My sister comes over and hands me a card, I smile and open it and 2 vouchers fall out. One of them is a dolphin meeting experience for on holiday and the other is for free cocktails. "We partying girl" My sister says laughing. "Thank you Jess" I tell her and stand up giving her a hug.

"Ok honey, so we have 2 presents for you, one is the holiday and we got you this other one because you really do deserve it and we are so proud of you, go and look in the garage" My dad says smiling at me. I look at my parents confused and put my shoes on. I go outside and press the button to open the garage which couldn't open any slower. As soon as I see it I go into shock. Lana and brad are stood there with a white range rover. I put my hands on my face in shock.

"It's brand new from Brad's dads garage, they sorted it all out for us" My mom says putting her arm around me. I quickly turn around and hug my parents tightly. "thank you thank you so much" I tell them, and a tear runs down my face which I quickly wipe off. I passed my driving test ages ago but I crashed my car when i was on drugs and my parents haven't trusted me to have one since. I walk over to the car and Lana gives me the keys "happy birthday gorgeous" She says giving me a tight hug. I smile and Brad begins talking me through everything the car does and how to use it, which i'm thankful for.

We all go back inside and Lana hands me a present. I open the first one and pull out a small short white dress, it's beautiful. I smile and open the other one to find a silver necklace with an L on it. "I love them Lana thank you so much" I tell her, she gives me a hug and right on cue breakfast is ready. "This is really good" Brad says as i finish my plate. I get the necklace I got out of the box and begin struggling to put it on. Lana notices and grabs the necklace off me. She stands up and so do I. She moves my hair from my neck slowly and puts the necklace on me. I turn around and she straightens it at the front. "Beautiful" She says smiling and i smile back.

"Who's down for a drive" Brad asks laughing. My sister automatically jumps up and smiles . "I call shot gun" Lana shouts and grabs her bag running for the door. I smile at my parents who nod for me to go. I unlock the car and everyone gets in. "Babe put your new album on" Brad says from the back of the car to Lana. "Yeah come on we wanna hear it" my sister agrees. Lana rolls her eyes and gets the CD out of her bag putting it in my car. She turns the volume down but I turn it up again, making her laugh.

I start up the car and pull out of my drive, I drive down the street and turn the corner to see Jack and Mike messing about on the road. They look at the car and see me sat here, and begin walking over, so i put the window down.
"Nice ride kid, i'm so sorry about the other day, happy birthday" Jack says, i'm surprised he actually remembers. "Don't worry, i've forgotten about it now" I say and tap him on the shoulder. Mike tells us to wait and quickly runs into his house and shortly after comes out with a book in his hand. "Happy birthday, we made you a book full of photos of old memories from our partying days, there's some funny photos in there bro" Mike says laughing. I quickly look through some of the pages and smile at the photos. "This is so cool, thank you so much" I tell them and hug them through the window. "See you later luce have a good day" Mike says and they both walk away as i begin driving again.

I smile once again at the book before handing it to Lana to hold, who of course has to look through the photos. "Look at this one" Lana says laughing, showing everyone the book as we stop at the lights. Everyone laughs at the photo of me passed out and i shake my head smiling.
