Gone two days and having a blast. Astra and Ailith took refuge on an island miles away from Berk, safe and sound from Dagur. They were having a lot of fun with the Nadder's, telling jokes, the occasional race.
"Ok, ok, up for a best trick competition?" Astra suggests, earning a playful laugh and a nod from Ailith.
"Only, this one, it's a routine!" Ailith adds, all the while smiling.
"Deal! Till midday to plan it!" Astra states, extending her hand.
"Deal!" Ailith states, shaking said hand, only to have Astra pull her hand away slowly, a string of tree sap connecting their hands.
"Ailith...what is this?" Astra asks, showing expressionless disgust. Ailith stifles laughter as she pulls her hand and walks backwards.
"Tree sap."
"EW EW EW EW EW EW EW!"
The two separated for two hours working on their routine. Ailith felt pretty confident while Dawn was always confident.
Astra too felt confident and Spike didn't seem scared nor confident, kept himself tranquil...so crapping himself.
The two meet up in a clearing just as the sun hits high daytime. "Ready?" Ailith asks as she places a sassy hand on her hip.
"Bring it, Jorgensen." Astra calls playfully.
The two mount upon their dragons and are about to take off when the sound of metal clanging brings their attention to a falling silhouette. The Nadder's squawked in curiosity while the girls tilt their heads.
Then in centre of the clearing, a steel scaled dragon landed badly with a cloaked rider. Astra led Spike over without hesitation and Ailith and Dawn fly over to the strange species and it's rider.
"Um, hello?" Ailith calls down. The girl doesn't respond as she's too weak, the green eyed dragon though opened its eyes and looked at the two, suddenly becoming hostile as he stood up, lifting the unconscious rider with him. He backed away and roared to the two but suddenly collapsed.
"He's hurt!" Astra exclaims, hopping from Spike and rushing over. He however lifted his head and roared to her.
Ailith grabbed Astra's arm, suddenly behind the ginger and looked to the rider, he or she was hooded and leaning forward on the neck of the dragon.
"His rider..." Ailith states.
"He's protecting 'em." Astra states.
"We need to show him we mean no harm to his rider." Ailith says as she signals back for Dawn to lower her spines, which she does. Astra does the same with Spike then removes her weapons. Ailith only carried a dagger however and tossed it to the side, with Astra's sword and dagger.
"We mean no harm..." Astra ensures the unknown dragon as the girls approached him.
The dragon looked from Astra to Ailith, Ailith to Dawn, Dawn to Spike then narrows his eyes slightly. The girl groans from his back and moves only to fall off of his back. Ailith flinches forward, only to get head butted in the chest by the steel dragon, him thinking she was attacking his rider.
Ailith is flung back agaisnt a tree and Dawn becoming defensive, flexes her spines and roars at the steal dragon, who roars back. She runs forward and readies herself to shoot but Astra runs in front of her and tries to calm the Nadder.
The rider slowly peaks up and gasps at what she saw, a ginger protecting her and her dragon from a wild looking Nadder. "Wow!" She yells as she sits up and leans against the steel dragon.
Astra's head bolts back, distracting herself from Dawn as she shoots spines, one hitting the stranger in the shoulder. She yells out in pain once then winces.
Astra lunges forward, the steel dragon letting her as his rider was hurt. "Oh Thor!" She exclaims as she looks at the spine sticking from this strangers shoulder. She then looks to the unconscious Ailith agaisnt a tree, Dawn by her side, nudging her.
"This is going to be a long night." Astra says to herself as she looks at both the girls.
