Hiccup rubbed his forehead. Headache. He stood up and looked at the storm forming in the far distance. Astrid has been gone a long time now. It's like her to drag a morning flight this long. He curiously looked down at Snotlout's hut, making his way down to see if he knew anything...yes, he was that desperate to know if Astrid was safe, asking Snotlout.

He knocked but there wasn't a response, so he opened up the hut and entered, but he was greeted with the Viking staring at something, a locked journal. Ailith's.

Hiccup's hand found its way to his small belt pouch, he removed a tiny little note left, which explained why Astra and Ailith had left. It said they'd be gone a little over a week at most. Lies.

Snotlout held no readable expression.

"I miss them too." Hiccup spoke up, resulting in Snotlout sniffing and instantly hiding the journal under his desk.

"What? Who?" He asked, playing dumb as he wiped a stray tear fallen from his face.

Hiccup looked at him. Snotlout, ever since his big sister left, he tries to forget about her. But occasionally he would be found with that journal, clinging to it.

It'd be easier to cope if they had confirmation that Astra and Ailith were dead. But no. There was always that prickling feeling that they were alive. And if they were, the question sat still, pestering them. Why haven't they returned?

Blue eyes, green eyes and brown eyes all stare at the same thing yet at different angles. The horizon.

They all darted towards it, each one from a different area, each one heading to different place.

Ailith looked at Hunter who bellowed back to her. She smiled and patted his neck scales.

Astra peered at Asgard who was already looking at her, he cooed, making her giggle slightly and lean down to stroke his side.

Austa glanced at Harmony, who felt eyes on her and turned back, a worrying look directed at Austa. She chirped softly and Austa smiled ever so lightly, and stroked her side.

But then she saw something in the wild waves, a body, clinging for dear life onto a log. With the storm forming factly, this body doesn't stand a chance. Austa dived down and instructed Harmony to snatch it from the water.

The blonde peered over the wings of the marvelwing and saw the body. A girl, she had blonde hair, a slim figure and pale skin, she was limp. But she gathered the strength to look up with uneasy and tired blue eyes that locked with Austa's. They reflected hers. "I'm going to help you." Austa reassured, but this poor girl was too weak to say anything as she went limp again.

Astrid.
