Debby: Hey, is this Josh?
Geez, I can feel my face get hot and I feel like I'm about to start sweating.
Josh: Yep, that's me!
Debby: I was hoping you'd see my number! I would've tapped you on the shoulder or something but you seemed pretty busy pounding on those drums lol.
I smile and laugh a little bit, I really like her so far.
Josh: haha yeah... I just love drumming y'know?
Debby: that's really awesome you should like start a band or something someday!

Hmm start a band? Nah, I wish I was that talented.. plus, even if I was, it'd be a pretty boring band. Just a drummer nothing else. I don't even have any friends except hopefully Debby. Yeah, doesn't seem like a band is ever gonna happen.

Debby and I text for like 3 hours until she finally says she's really tired and she goes to bed. I would be sad but... her text said "goodnight Joshy <3"
I'm still blushing and honestly I'm in disbelief. She's like perfect and I'm.. well I'm just Josh Dun. What's so special about Josh Dun? Nothing. But I seem to make her happy and that gives me a little bit of confidence.

Finally, I drift off to sleep and for once it's a good sleep. No anxiety, no insecurities, just calm, peaceful sleep.
Beep beep beep!

"Oh shut up! Beep beep yourself!" I grumpily slap my alarm clock and get out of bed. I can't be late, even though I'm homeschooled, Mama Dun doesn't tolerate laziness or being late. I quickly pull some shorts on and a tank top, I brush my teeth and run my fingers through my hair.

"JOSHHHH," Mama Dun screams, "I MADE PANCAKES!!!"

Oooo yum! I rub the sleep away from my eyes and run downstairs. I grab 3 freshly made, hot, sweet pancakes and drizzle a generous amount of syrup on them.

"Thanks mama," I say, and then I violently gulp down my pancakes.

I'm the only one of my siblings who's homeschooled. I have really bad anxiety and finally after about a dozen panic attacks, my mama just decided to homeschool me. I feel bad putting all the extra work on her shoulders but she says she loves "spending so much time with her baby boy"

"Alright, class dismissed," she says with a smirk as she taps my head with a pencil.

She has a mischievous look on her face, almost like she knows something. Hmm, I don't like that look, not one bit.

"Uh mama why are you looking at me like that??" I ask her nervously.

"Welllll I was wondering why you've been all smiley and blushy lately. Does my Joshy have a girllllfriend perhaps?"

"Mom!" I shout, "pffft no, no that's crazy!" I blush and I'm sure my face is as red as a tomato.

I quickly grab my school books and papers and rush upstairs to go text Debby. Ugh, Mama can be so annoying sometimes.

A/N: it may be a few chapters before Tyler is introduced... but I promise, he will be here soon! Stay alive :D
