Ashton's POV

I walked down to the reception and as I was waiting for someone to come, I looked out the small window on the wall.

Yep

We had just missed the fans coming. They were now out in groups meaning we wouldn't be able to go anywhere with Jo for sure.

"Hello? Sir, did you hear me?"

The voice of the receptionist brought me back to reality.

"What-no sorry. Can I please get a room for me?"

"Sure. Three doors down from where your friends rooms are. Here"

She stretched her hand out and gave me the key.

I headed back up to the room Calum and I were meant to share and started packing up my things I would need. As I was walking out of my bedroom, I heard my name in Michael and Calum's conversation which I hadn't been paying attention to before.

Calum spoke first.

"Ash got locked in a store when we were song writing and Jo got locked in with him. I guess one thing led to another and Ash likes her. I could be wrong but I don't think I am"

Calum thinks I like Jo?

Well I guess he isn't exactly wrong

"Fuck....this is just great." I heard Michael sigh

"Why?"

Good question Cal

"Because she looks like that-and she seems like the type of person who I'd love. And just while I was playing and she was watching, we - we were talking and we just - it's hard to explain. We just clicked. It felt right. And you know how I believe in love at first sight Calum."

Michael liked her?

I huffed in annoyance and ventured back to my new room.

I was tweeted a few fans when i heard I quiet knock on my door.

I walked over to open it to see Jo standing there.

"What?" I asked bitterly

"I just don't know any of the others and none of them were really making an effort with me and I didn't want to be alone so I wanted to know if i could come in."

"Why don't you go to Michael and bond over League of Legends or something?"

I mumbled in reply, but let her it.

She walked over to my bed and sat down.

"Ashton you've been acting weird since Calum came to get us. What's up?"

"Nothing"

"No Ashton. No more pretending. I just want the truth."

Jo stared at me a long time before I answered.

" I'm just confused"

"Confused about what?" Jo immediately replied softly.

" it's hard to explain I guess- you mean a lot to me even though we have only know each other for a short while"

Jo peered up at me with a smile and me heart sank. She is so perfect and I'm not good enough for her. She deserves better - she deserves some one who can be there for her everyday. I wouldn't be good for her tour life is hard and being away from Jo would be to much.

"I care about you too ashton -a lot"

I needed to end this.

"I don't know if this is a good thing Jo - as cliche as it sounds I'm not good for you. You deserve better. I won't always be there and that's not ok with me" I spoke firmly hoping to get the message across.

Jo stared down at her hands for a while thinking up a response I assumed.

" if you weren't on tour would you want to be with me? If we could stay in close contact?" Jo looked so vulnerable and it rendered me speechless.

" of course. "

"Ok" Jo smiled a sad smile before announcing that she was going to bed.

After Jo left I thought about the prior events. Today I had got locked in a store, met Jo , broke out of a store , fought Calum , discovered both Michael and I are interested in Jo , and also maybe ended my chances with her.

Shit.
