Jo's POV

Ok I admit it

I feel bad for yelling at Ashton I didn't mean to make him upset.

But it's not my fault he takes everything so seriously.

I walked over to him, he was standing in the small electronics section.

"Hey ashton I'm sorry, I swear I didn't mean to insult you"

He quickly cut me off and held his hand up signaling me to stay quite.

I watched as he argued with some one on the phone.

He sounded upset and I couldn't help but wonder if I was the reason. Ashton hung up and slumped to the floor.

I quietly sat next to him- still not sure what to say.

Honestly I'm not very good at comforting people and as of now Ashton is still a stranger.

"Ash?-"

"What did you just call me?" he cut me off startlingly me.

He's impossible.

"Look Ashton I just wanted to say I'm sorry; I didn't mean to interrupt your stupid conversation ok? Can we please just be civil."

"Sorry your right. It's fine." He mumbled.

I looked over at him, he sat against the wall beside me with his knees pressed to his chest. He looked defeated.

"Erm Ashton ... I like your flannel."

God I'm bad at this.

He chuckled before replying with a "thanks"

We sat there for a minute just watching the walls. I could tell his mind was racing but I was to nervous to ask what he was thinking about.

"Jo?"

"Yes ashton?"

"Why does me being 'famous' bother you?"

I thought for a long minute. Honestly I don't know, famous just has a negative connotation.

When I hear famous I think of cocky people, to caught up in themselves to care about others.

But Ashton wasn't like that. He wasn't the best at first impressions but he had feelings and I need to consider them.

"I'm not sure. The word just has a negative connotation I guess. I wasn't angry at you, it's just I was shocked and wasn't really sure how to react."

"I don't want you to view me in a negative way" Ashton didn't look at me, he still gazed at the wall.

"I don't ashton." He looked over to me and smiled.

Maybe I'm not terrible at comforting people.

"Yea I'm serious! It was a big ass cat Jo!"

I laughed as Ashton told me about a cat he saved. Ash was quite repetitive but it was funny; he was really proud of himself for saving that cat.

"What about you? Have you ever done something heroic" he giggled and I burst into laughter.

"Ok ok heroic?

Well one time I was in this exact store. When I was in line to buy a pack of gum a guy asked for a dollar and I gave it to him" I said reminiscing on my moment of strength.

"Wow how impressive" Ashton said sarcastically

"Better then saving an obese cat" I giggled. He scoffed at my response and began staring at the wall again.

Ashton and I had been talking for a good hour now and it was already ten. It was evident that ashton and I would be staying the night in this stupid store but I'm starting not to mind.

"How long are you and your band staying in the area?"

"Two more days, we have a show tomorrow and another the next day" Ashton replied with a smile.

" It must be hard, being on tour all the time."

He didn't reply for a long minute, just stared at his feet.

"Yea it can be hard, but at the end if the day the pros outweigh the cons by a ton. I get to do what I love and people support it, that's the best feeling in the world."

I smiled at Ashton, he was so interesting and the passion in his eyes was incredible. When he talked about his music it was like he turned into a different person.

Before I could reply ashton spoke.

"Touring doesn't really leave me time for girls or a relationship"

"Is that what you want, a relationship?" I spoke before thinking.

Ashton looked at me for a long while before replying

"Yea either that or a good fuck"
