Me, casually acting like I didn't disappear for half a year💛
Aika Eucliffe grumpily glared at her handheld lacrima vision as a battle raged on in front of her. She had quickly grown bored of the first event of the games and decided to redirect her anger towards her favorite game - Mortal Kombat. She had been playing for a while before losing the third round (a tiebreaker) because her opponent had used an X-Ray attack. "Honestly! Fuck D'Vorah and her infested ass! Sis couldn't find a man even if she paid him!"
Her mate nuzzled his face into the crook of her neck and muttered a small, "Comfort mate?" before reaching for the lacrima vision, which she quickly handed to Rogue. She knew Sting all too well, he would annihilate the small device because it caused her stress, and she couldn't afford another one since most of their money had been spent on shiny jewelry.
She reached back and began to pet his hair, finally sparing a glance at the event going on in the arena below. Sabertooth, according to the leaderboard, was neither winning nor losing with zero points. Rufus was representing their team, and he was bound to come up with an entertaining way to win. "I don't think I can explain how much I love Rufus' hair! Like damn, what conditioner does he use? It looks so silky!"
Sting simply rolled his eyes, he knew she was just being dramatic. Regardless of that, he still gripped her waist a bit tighter.
Fairytail's score, however, was in the negatives so she was satisfied. Her eyes trailed over each competitor, remaining on Gray for a little longer than Sting would have liked. 'What a weakling, being beat up by a petty Raventail member.' Aika chuckled as she leaned into her mate's touch, "And to think I had a crush on him when I was younger! He just peeped up that water girl's skirt with no remorse!"
The white dragon growled out, "Keep mate!" to which Aika simply nodded, there was no way anything would come between them.
Suddenly, she saw Rufus strike a pose as the sky darkened, "Memory make! Night of the shining stars!"
And that was it, the match was over with Sabertooth in the lead as expected.
🔮
Sabertooth's golden girl cringed as disgusting fumes escaped Lucy Heartfilia's burned boots. Her mate, sensing her displeasure, quickly turned her around in his lap, peppering her face with kisses until she broke into a smile, "Damn, I don't even feel bad for her. Those boots were ugly, no cap, it's just the smell that got to me."
The maroon exceed giggled from his position in the seat next to him, "Can you imagine someone yeeting you with their weave? That's a cat fight I'd pay to see!"
Sting chuckled as he played with Aika's hair,"Not gonna lie, that hair color doesn't suit her at all. Snatching it would be a favor."
"Fro thinks so too!"
"I'm surrounded by idiots..." mumbled the shadow dragon as he stared at the Mermaid Heel booth. He wanted to be over there, not with his team.
Aika leaned sideways until her lips were at his ear and whispered, "You're just miserable because you don't want to tell Kagura she's your mate!"
Sting and Aika giggled as Ryos turned beet red and quickly faded into the shadows- it was too easy to mess with him!
Around an hour later, it's was Orga's turn to compete against Quatro Cerberus' Warcry. He won the match in a literal flash, which Sting noticed had greatly upset Laxus, 'That fucking asshole.'
"Geez Orga!" Sting called out as the god slayer walked back to their booth, "You couldn't have made it more entertaining?"
He quickly did a 180 and started walking back to the field, "Alright fine, I'll sing a song. Aika, I'm gonna steal your spot as #1"
Aika wheezed from her seated position on the railing overviewing the arena- he couldn't sing for shit.
🔮
"Okay but that Flare girl- man, bitches be bonkers!" Aika remarked as the team walked back to their hotel, "Someone needs to ship her off to a mental institution, or better yet, a good hairdresser. Like damn, sis has length retention down but her curl pattern is ruined!"
Rufus smirked and tipped his hat in her direction, "I assume you're talking about me?"
She nodded from her position on Sting's shoulders, her brows suddenly furrowing, "What do you guys think of the Fairytail and Raventail teams?"
"Those flies?" Orga grunted, "We'll wipe the floor with 'em, don't worry."
"In all honesty, I'm surprised they were allowed to enter this year." Rufus mused, "All of Fairytail's competing members vanished for seven years and came back without any explanation. You'd think the council would be more concerned about what happened on the island."
"Not to mention the fact that the Raventail guild ran illegally for many years, plus their leader has a track record of child abuse and neglect, along with being excommunicated from Fairytail." Rogue shrugged as he absentmindedly patted Frosche's head, "Whatever, I'm only concerned about Gajeel."
"We are sure to win..." Yukino absentmindedly added.
"Don't worry mate, with the performance they put down today, they're even less of a threat than we thought they'd be. Natsu and those Dreyars are going down!" Sting affectionately looked up at his cute mate and blew her a kiss, "Now let's head to the hot springs and take a bath, yeah? All this stress isn't good for you."
Sabertooth's celestial mage furrowed her brows, 'Does she have a connection with those two guilds?'
Rufus, as if reading her mind, handed her a magazine dated 5 years back. She gasped as she skimmed the interview her teammate had. 'I pictured being in a guild as if it was a family. I thought Sabertooth was bad but... you can tell they all really care about each other when they're away from master. If Sabertooth is like this, Fairytail and Raventail's concept of family must be so much worse.'
1000 words y'all, we wildin.
in all honesty, I'm not all that interested
in anime anymore, but I still read fanfics
for the series I've already watched.
though, I am kind of emotionally attached
to this story now, and I feel like I owe it
to myself to finish it. I lowkey want to write
a Bakugou fic but idk if I'd do his character right, and i only watched up to the sports festival before kind of leaving my anime 'phase'. I also want to do an avatar one because I literally wrote one when I was like 7 in my diary and i feel like it'd be fun. But I'm compulsive so yeah, I'm probably gonna do it.Ily guys💛💖 if you read through my whole tangent then you're a real one.
