Chapter 20

Sam's POV
Me and Colby walk down the stairs of the building together. We walk back into the parking lot. "Ughhh, I don't want to drive alone. I wanna be in the car with youuuuu!" I whine. "Hey, look over there." Colby says pointing in a different direction. Elton, Corey, Aaron, and Jake come running at us. They all jump into me and hug me. "Samuel Golbach! Don't ever run away like that ever again! Do you understand me?" Corey says.

I roll my eyes. "Okay mom." I say. "Hey don't talk back to your mother like that." Aaron says. "Fine Dad." I smirk. "Come on now, let's go home." Elton says. "Hang on Elton." Colby says. He catches up to Elton say talks to him for a minute. Elton nods at something and gets into his car while the other three get into Aaron's car.

"Come on. Get into the car." Colby says waving me over. "Elton is taking back his car, the others are taking Aaron's car. Soooooo, we can drive together." Colby says taking my hand. He leads me to the passenger and opens the door for me. He shuts it once I get in.

Colby gets into the drivers seat and pull unit of the parking lot. "Colby." I start. "I'm glad you followed me here." I look down. "I could've done something really stupid." I can feel him glance at me. I grab Colby's hand. "Colby...I really need help." I say. He squeezes my hand.

"I can get you a thera-" I had to cut him off. "No! Not another therapist." I plead. "Do you want me to help you?" Colby asks. I look up at him and nod. "When we get home, straight up to my room." He says. When we get home, me and Colby both go up to his room.

"Okay, cigarettes." Colby says putting his hand out. "What? No!" I protest. "Do you want me to help you?" Colby says sternly. I sigh and give him my box and lighter. "No alcohol." He also says. "Come on, let's go clean your room." Colby says.

I follow him into my room and into my room. I look inside and everything is fixed. "W-What?" I say looking around. "Happy birthday Sammy." Colby says smiling. "D-did you do all of this?" I ask. "I had some help but mostly yeah." He says. My walls are painted a really light grey. I have new clothes hanging up in my closet. My bed is all made with new clean sheets. My desk is all nice and neat. I have a smaller banner thing that says "happy birthday". There's a white carpet in the middle of the floor and a small table by my bed.

I look back at Colby and smile. "Thank you Colby." I say and run up to hug him. "It's not over yet though." He says. "Huh?" Colby grabs my thighs and throws me over his shoulder like I'm a sack of potatoes. "Colby Brock! Put my down!" I yell, while gripping his shirt so I don't fall. "I've never noticed how nice of an ass you have." Colby chuckles.

"Shut up!" I say embarrassed. My face was burning hot. "Where are you taking me?!" I ask. He drags me outside to the back yard. He sets me down on the ground. "Look at that beauty!" Colby says happily, I turn around and see a giant ledge looking thing at the end of the pool. There's a picture of a shark saying "Send it!".

There's also a small portrait of me and another "happy birthday" "Woah, that is amazing." I say happily. Then Elton, Corey, Jake, and Aaron climb up on top of it. Colby joins them. "Samuel Golbach! Today is your 23rd birthday. For your first present from all of us you get to slap all of us into the pool!" Elton yells from the top.

"Cool!" I yell. "Wait, he's gonna slap all of us?!" Corey asks confused. Elton nods. "But I'm gonna jump into the pool after so I'm gonna strip right now." I say. I take off my socks, shirt, and pants. I climb up onto the platform. "Elton's first." I say. Elton steps up to the edge of the platform.

"Happy Birthday Sam." Elton says  I smile. I slap Elton and he falls into the pool. "I'm not gonna slap hard though." I say. I go through Corey, Aaron, and Jake. Colby stands at the edge and faces me. I stare at him and smile. He hair covers his eyes a bit. His dimples when he smiles. I love every feature he has. "So, are you gonna slap me Sammy?" Colby chuckles.

"Oh right." I blush a little. "Oh heads up, I'm taking you out for lunch later." He says. I nod, and I push him off of the edge. "Jump! Jump! Jump!" Everyone yells. "Do a flip!" Corey and Jake yell. I shake my head and smile. I run and jump off the ledge, doing a Cody flip. I land into the pool. When I come back up to the surface.

"Holy shit! I didn't know you could do that!" Colby says. "I didn't know I could do that either." I laugh. I try to get out of the pool but someone grabs my legs. "Come on little boy, get on my shoulders." Colby says. I get onto his shoulders. "Oh shit! I'm gonna fall off of you Colbs." I say.

He grabs my hands and intertwines our fingers. I sit on top of Colby for a while. We watch the others fight in the water. Elton jumped on top of Jake and almost drowned him. That was pretty funny. "Pssssst! Sammy! I'm hungry! Let's go to lunch!" Colby whisper shouts to me.

"Okay, let's goooooooo." I whine. I try to get down from Colby's shoulders but he doesn't let me. "Nope, I'm just gonna canary your inside." He says. Colby stands up and gets out of the pool with me on his shoulders. "Holy shit! I can see everything up here! Is this what it's like to be tall?" I laugh.

I get carried all the way up to my room. "Now get changed. I'll be waiting down stairs in 10 minutes." Colby says. I change into a great shirt, black XPLR hoodie, tan skinny jeans, and my vans. I run downstairs and poke Colby on the arm. "I'm readyyyyyyy." I say.
