Chapter 39

Colby's POV

Sam explains that we are going to be taking a break for a month to figure out what we could do to make our channel better. "But when we come back, we are going to start making like series you could call it. Series of places that we are going to go." Sam starts.

He says a few more things and then looks at me. "And we both have a question that we need to answer." I say looking at him. Sam turns back and looks at the camera. "Are we haunted?" Sam asks. He gets up and ends the recording.

"Okay, I'm going to go edit this. I'll be done in like 15 minutes because you aren't coming with me." Sam says as he takes the camera and start heading to the stairs. "What? Why not? I wanna cuddle with you." I whine chasing after him.

He rolls his eyes. "You're just going to distract me and make me take like 2 hours. Go find something to do." Sam says. I nod and sit on the couch. There's nothing to do.

Suddenly my phones goes off and I check it.

Gabby: Hey Colby! It's Gabby, i was wondering if you wanted to go out for lunch at 11:30?

Me: Sure Gabby! I have nothing else to do yet today.

Gabby: Great! I was thinking Tender Greens?

Me: Sounds good

Gabby: Awesome, I'll see you at 11:30

I put my phone into my pocket and go upstairs to get ready. "It's 11 right now. I'll leave around 11:20." I put on a black shirt with black ripped jeans. I fix my hair and look at the time. "Only 11:08? Time does go by slowly." I chuckle.

"Where ya going?" I turn around and see Sam standing there. "Oh hey Sam. I'm going out to lunch with Gabby. I won't take long I promise." I beam. Sam nods. "Okay, I need you to get back here at 12:30 at least. We have a lot of stuff to do."

"Don't worry, baby. I'll be back before you know it." I smile and kiss him. I check the time and I gotta go. "I have to go. I'll be back." I say and kiss Sam once more before leaving.

I pull into Tender Greens and walk in. "Colby!" I turn and see Gabby waving at me. I smile and walk over to her. "You're not here late!" She laughs. "Yeah, I've been getting better at being on time now." I chuckle.

We start to catch up on what we have done over the years. "And that's how I started my YouTube channel with Sam." I smile. "Wow, you two have been through a lot." She laughs.

"Yeah, we're used to it." I say. "Do either you or Sam have like a girlfriend." She asks hesitantly. "Sam used to have a girlfriend but she broke up with him. And I haven't had a girlfriend since like Sophomore year." I sigh.

I see her face brighten but don't mention it. Oh boy, here we go. I mentally roll my eyes. She starts to get all flirty. I check my phone and see that it's 12:20. "Oh shit, I have to go. I promised Sam I would get back home at 12:30." I standing up and grabbing my keys.

"Sorry that I have to end lunch so quick. I just have a lot of stuff to do." I say pushing my chair in. "Bye Gabby! I'll see you later." I say and run out. I hear her push her chair out and follow behind me.

I get into my car and start the engine. "Colby! Wait!" Gabby yells. I pretend I don't hear her and leave Tender Greens. "Phew, that was weird." I say.

I walk through the doors right at 12:30. "Sam! I'm back!" I yell into the house. "Kitchen! Now!" He yells back.
