Nicki had been showing all the signs of pregnancy which was good for us since we had got the process done a few weeks ago. She was currently throwing up last nights dinner and Blue was panicking because of that.

"Mommy throw up?" She asked with dried up tear stains on her face.

Nicki meant the world to her and seeing her sick was breaking her little heart.

"Yes baby but she's ok. Her tummy just hurts." I told her as I tucked her back into her bed.

"Why mommy tummy hurt?" She was about to start crying again so I got in beside her letting her cuddle into my chest until she was completely asleep.

Walking back into our bedroom Nicki laid on the bed curled into a ball. I cut the lights off in our bedroom and then got in beside her pecking her forehead.

"You ok?" I asked her when she turned into me.

"I'm hungry but she won't let me eat." Nicki cried tucking herself into my side.

"How do you know if you're pregnant already?" I asked her rubbing my hand up and down her side.

"I know my body baby and this is exactly how I felt the first time I got pregnant." She mumbled  into me.

"You want me to go get some pregnancy tests?"

"Nooo I wanna lay here with you." Her lips formed into a pout as her eyes glossed over again.

"Why are you crying." I chuckled as I wiped her cheeks with the knuckle on my index finger.

"I don't know." She sniffled snuggling up against me more.

Next Day• Nicki

My mom begged me to come over her house for god knows what, so I was currently headed over to her house along with Blue just because Bey wanted them to bond more.

"Blue Blue you ready to see nana?" I asked her looking at her through the rear view mirror.

She was completely zoned out looking at whatever was on her iPad at the moment so I just left her alone.

As we pulled up I got Blue out and approached my mom's front door. She greeted the both of us before picking Blue up off of her feet pecking her face.

"Nana." Blue squealed wrapping her arms around her neck tight.

I couldn't help but to smile at the sight before me imagining my own child soon being able to bond with my mother. Even though I didn't always agree with her I loved her to death.

"Sit down, I want to talk to you." She instructed after she sent Blue off to play.

"What's up ma?" I just knew I was about to hear some more bullshit but I decided to give her a chance.

"Your father—he passed away, last night due to the crack. It struck him with a heart attack." She finished, her eyes now watery.

It took me a minute to register what she was saying and it made me regret every second that I took speaking down on his name. How many times I wished death on my own father. I felt sick to my stomach thinking about the fact that I never gave him a second chance.

I was drawn away from my thoughts as my mom embraced me making me completely break down.

"Shh, it's ok baby." She rested her head against my cheek as I held mine in the crook of her neck.

"I didn't give him a chance ma, I feel bad." I weeped trying to keep my tears to a minimum being that I had eyeliner on.

"I know how much you hate funerals but I promise that'll be the closure that you need." She picked my head up and dabbed the corners of my eyes.
