Kimberly pleaded to God for the guy that moved closer and closer towards her to go away and disappear from the face of the earth. That's what she wished. Unfortunately, it did not happen. But then again God worked in mysterious ways and sometimes he just wants his children to grow by making them face uncomfortable situations.

As being put to a circumstance that makes one feel victimized, no, not victimized by God but by the plan he has in store. Sometimes we are too much of cowards to take the leap of faith and not take heed that everything we've ever dreamed of. From relationships wise, every goal, every achievement we hope to achieve, and pure happiness are on the other side of fear.

Was this yet another test that Kimberly could not escape?

Did she have to be bold and face it?

Why God, why?!

Am I not brave enough?

She groaned. The man that she barely knew made her feel...jittery.

The man chuckled. "Didn't know boss lady can have fun?

Kimberly shrugged, "I rarely have free time."

"Besides, I was dragged here by my cousin, Monica." she pointed out.

"Then I should be thanking her for getting you out of your cage." Mr. Sternberg took Monica's petite hand gently and kissed it.

Kimberly rolled her eyes. To witness him place his lips at her relative filled her envy.

Who permitted him to touch her that way?!

"That's no way to speak to your boss, is it?"

Mr. Sternberg smirked satisfied with the hint of jealous that mirrored around and encircled Ms. Austin.

"Do forgive me, Ms. Austin, however, I'm quite certain that we are nowhere near your company."

"The rules still apply," Kimberly remarked irritated by the fact his words echoed in her head.

She was not caged into anything! Although she couldn't match with her cousin's personality. Kimberly was as free as a bird.

Wasn't she?!

"W--wait you two know each other?" Monica jumps in to ask.

"Yes!"

"No!"

Their words clashed by one agreeing and the other unfortunately disagreeing.

"Yes, I know her very well," Troy added.

"No, we don't know each like that he just works for me." Kimberly corrected folding her arms.

Know her very well?! That was a plain out lie. The man didn't know a thing about her.

Monica grinned widely looking between the two.

Here she goes again, Kimberly groaned.

She knew that her cousin was going to leave her all alone with the man she didn't want to be alone with, as her way of playing the wing-woman.

"I'm going to go... and get something to drink. So, have fun kids!" Monica announced as she disappeared from the crowd.

Monica trusted that giving them some privacy will aid them to get to know one another not merely as an employee and the employer. Monica founded the nearest drink station. She sunk down the chair took the cleared glass and made herself a drink.

Monica paused and slowly glimpsed at the unfamiliar man that caught her attention standing there as a living monument inches away from her.

"Did you come here to stand there like a statue or to have fun?" Monica teased the man appeared as if he was in deep dazed until he had fully heard Monica soft voice speak to him.
