"NO, NO, NO! This can't be happening." Marinette awoke to the sound of her alarm clock blaring in her ear. After glancing at the time she realised that school was going to start in fifteen minutes, which caused a mini panic attack on her part.
"Tikki, I stayed up too late working on outfits for the designing competition! I'm going to be late for school!"
The little, red Kwami stirred from her place on Marinette's bed and let out a yawn as she opened her eyes. Then the realisation set in and Tikki, as well as Marinette began to stagger and stumble around the bedroom, trying to quickly get dressed, brush her teeth, comb her hair into the usual pigtails and organise her school bag.
"Come on, Tikki." Marinette opened her tiny, pink purse and in flew her Kwami.
Then, as fast as she possibly could, the blue haired girl raced downstairs to greet her parents in the kitchen.
"Oh Marinette!" Sabine, her mother, gasped as she saw her daughter. "School starts in five minutes. You have to get going!"
"I know, I know. I can't help that I'm a deep sleeper." Marinette grabbed a bacon and egg quiche to eat on her way and stashed a couple cookies for her Kwami in her bag.
"Bye mom!"
"Bye sweetie, have a nice day." Sabine smiled and took a sip of her steaming hot cup of tea as she watched her blundering daughter rush out the door.
"Tikki, I'm never going to make it in time." Marinette told her little Kwami who had just peaked out of the purse she resided in.
"I know a faster way for you to get to school." Tikki stated.
This brought a smile to Marinette's lips. "I thought you'd never ask."
Marinette turned into the nearest ally way, then after making sure that no one was watching, she began the transformation from a normal girl, into her superhero alter ego.
"Tikki, spots on!"

*** Marinette arrived at school just in a nick of time. Though when she arrived, she noticed there was something different about the way her fellow classmates were acting.
Some were giddy, some were nervous, and some, like her best friend Alya, were bursting at the seams with excitement.
"Marinette!" Alya ran up to her best friend and was practically bouncing on her toes with a ginormous grin. "Marinette, you are never going to believe this!"
"What's going on Alya?"
"Okay, so there's this new girl at school today. Her name is Kali Lemaire." Alya spoke.
