"This is big, Plagg. Huge." Adrien paced back and forth in his bedroom that night.
After his Ladybug let slip that she and Kali (or Lady Black at the time) went to the same school, it didn't take long for Adrien to begin wracking his brain furiously trying to figure out who his beloved could be.
"I'll make a list." Adrien stated as he sat down at his desk with his computer, pulling up the Notes app he had installed.
He typed like a maniac, writing down the names of everyone he knew at Francois Dupont, then tomorrow at school, he would find out the names of those he didn't know.
"You know," Plagg started as he laid lazily on Adrien's desk. "There are easier ways to go about this."
"Yeah? Like what?" Adrien asked his Kwami, not bothering to look up from his computer.
"I dunno. If I think of something I'll tell you." Plagg said in a daze.
"Right. Thanks for your help." He said sarcastically.
"What's your plan anyways?" Plagg asked. "Are you just going to go up to every single girl at your school and blatantly ask them if they're Ladybug? Because I'm pretty sure the real one would deny it."
"No, of course not... That would be stupid."
"Well..." Plagg dragged on.
Adrien sighed. "I know Ladybug. I know her personality and I know how she speaks, how she acts. When I see her, talk to her in her true form... I'll just know."
Plagg desperately wanted to grab Adrien by the shoulders, shake him ferociously and yell at him, 'you already know her, you dimwit, and you haven't figured anything out yet!' He mentally scolded his Miraculous holder for being so blind, but he couldn't give any hints at all. Adrien had to find out who Ladybug really was all by himself.
Although... A lightbulb went off in Plaggs head. Maybe he couldn't tell Adrien anything about who Ladybug was, but that didn't mean that he couldn't drop a sly clue here and there.
"What if you already know her? Or what if you've seen her in her true form already and haven't even realised?" Plagg peered over at Adrien, waiting to see what his reaction would be.
Adrien just snorted a laugh. "That's ridiculous. I think I'd know if I'd met her already. I mean, she's my soulmate. I wouldn't just be walking passed my soulmate everyday and not know it."
Plaggs shoulders drooped. "You really are dense." The cat muttered.
"What was that?" Adrien questioned.
"Huh? Oh nothing. I just said that makes sense." Plagg quickly replied, hiding his insult.
Adrien didn't sleep well that night, his thoughts were running rampage through his mind. Though, the final words in his head before he went to sleep were, 'I'll find you, Bugaboo.'

"Marinette, do you remember much from what happened right before your fight with Lady Black?" Tikki asked the blue haired girl, who was tweaking her designs for the fashion competition.
Marinette looked up from her design, with a worried expression. "What do you mean? Of course I remember... How could I forget?"
"Thank Goodness. I know you didn't mean for that to happen, but I'm sure that Chat Noir is going to be much more persistent now." Tikki rambled.
"Yup. Poor Chat. He's definitely going to be kicking himself for getting beaten so badly like that. I know I am."
Tikki blinked once. Twice.
"I don't think we're talking about the same thing." She stated.
"Oh? Well what are you talking about?" Marinette asked, puzzled.
Tikki sighed. "I'm talking about you, letting slip that Ladybug and Lady Black went to the same school! And if Chat Noir caught on, and I'm willing to bet my life that he did, then he's going to be so much closer to figuring out your true identity."
Marinette's eyes widened, shocked.
"OH MY GOD! Tikki, what have I done?!" She stood up from her seat at her desk and paced back and forth, muttering all kinds of disbelieving words.
"How could I have been so careless?"
Pace.
"Surely he wouldn't be able to figure out who I am."
Pace.
"Fiddlesticks! He's going to find out. Who else has blue damn hair at my school?! Curse my unique genes."
Marinette stopped suddenly. "You don't think he'd turn up at the school looking for me, do you?"
Tikki hesitated, knowing all too well that Chat didn't need to turn up at her school since he attended the very same school himself.
"Um..." Tikki fought to find the right words. She needed to be careful. It was true, she wanted Marinette and Adrien to find each other without their masks, but until Marinette was ready, she would do her best to keep the secret.
"Just do your best to not give yourself away. Chat Noir is looking for Ladybug, not Marinette. As long as you don't seem like Ladybug, I think you'll be okay."

At school the next day, everyone seemed to be slightly less enthusiastic than normal. When Marinette reached her class, late of course, she sat beside her usual place next to Alya. Her red haired friend let out a deep sigh when Marinette arrived.
"Hey... Is everything okay?" Marinette asked Alya.
"Yeah, it's just that whole thing with Kali yesterday. I mean, she was akumatized, and she fought Ladybug. So now I'm back with no leads and no clues. It's just got me a little down, that's all."
Marinette began consoling Alya, and A certain blonde boy couldn't help but overhear the girls' conversation, pricking his ears up like the sly cat he was.
Adrien felt bad of course, because not only did he have a major clue, but he would have to leave his friends in the dark for the remainder of his search. Sure, it would've been much easier if he had them by his side, but secretly he wanted to continue on alone.
He was getting closer now.
He was going to find his Lady soon, and then everything would be perfect.
