He's the infamous Sirius Black. She's the quiet Savannah Stone. They're polar opposites. No one would think they would be friends, so no one would think that they could have feelings for each other. Or do they?

Savannah was surprised at how comfortable she felt when she returned to her room at the Potters'. It almost felt like she was returning home. Her cozy bed, piled high with pillows and the softest, most luxurious duvet. Euphemia must have changed it from the last time Savannah was there. Instead of a quilt, it was a duvet with a white and grey floral pattern. The soft faux fur rug in the middle of the room. The armchair in the corner where she loved to curl up with a good book. Her desk in front of the window overlooking the grounds. Her own bathroom with a clawfoot tub and fluffy white towels. It just felt nice to have a space that was hers after so long of having nothing. While she loved sharing the dormitory with the girls, sometimes she did just want to be alone. Here, Savannah could let herself pretend that this really was her life and like she was anyone else but who she was.
Sirius had helped her get her trunk to her room, so she started unpacking. She put her clothes away in the closet, left her homework in her trunk, and placed her prized quill and journal that she had received from Alice on her desk. After all that was done, she decided to arrange her little mini-library since she actually had some shelves. She took her time placing her books in the perfect order, putting those in similar genres on the same shelves, and then alphabetizing them by the author's last names. Savannah was so engrossed in what she was doing that she didn't notice when Sirius opened the door. He went to tell her that lunch was ready when he noticed how focused she was, how her eyes scanned over the books, and how her hands barely grazed the book spines as she moved them. He liked seeing how she concentrated as she arranged her books into her desired order. He loved the light in her eyes as she read the book titles and moved them to their appropriate spot. So he stood there and took his time memorizing every line of her face. There was no denying the fact that he loved the view, especially the small smile that graced her perfect lips, just barely curling them upward.
Finally, she turned and noticed him. "Oh! Sirius!" She exclaimed, a blush creeping up her neck as she clutched a couple of books to her chest.
He smirked, leaning sexily against the doorframe. "I just came up here to tell you that lunch is ready," he informed her.
She nodded. "Okay. I'll be right down."
Sirius lingered for a moment, acting as if he wanted to say something else. Finally, he just nodded and turned away, shutting the door behind him. —— The next few days passed in a blur of pranks, since the boys had started a prank war between themselves. Due to fear of getting pranked or being asked to help with said pranks, Savannah spent most of her time either in her room or with Euphemia, who Savannah loved and saw as the mum she never had. The girls had often laughed at the boys' antics, especially when they would hear explosions or yells, or when they would come running across the sitting room. Euphemia never yelled at the boys for their pranks, which surprised Savannah. "Boys will be boys. These are memories," she would tell Savannah any time she asked.
One day Savannah was up in her room, relaxing on her bed as she talked to Lily on the phone. She had asked Euphemia for one since she hated waiting for Lily's responses via owl. She missed her best friend terribly and Euphemia was more than happy to procure one for Savannah.
She was lying on her stomach with her knees bent as she laughed at something Lily had said. She turned toward the door when she heard it open and shut quietly, smiling when she saw Sirius with a panicked look on his face, slightly out of breath.
"I need to hide from James and Dalton. Prank gone horribly wrong," he said by way of explanation, his chest still heaving.
Savannah laughed before she pointed to the door that led to the bathroom. He shot her a grateful glance before he hurried into the bathroom. The door had barely shut behind him when James and Dalton burst in. "He's in here, isn't he?" James asked at the same time Dalton exclaimed, "Where is he?"
Savannah had stared at them in shock for a moment before she burst out laughing. Both boys' skin were rainbow colors that glittered in the light, and their hair was bright pink. James was in a purple tutu and Dalton was in a blue tutu. Savannah quickly reached under her bed and grabbed the Polaroid camera she had borrowed from Alice, snapping a quick picture before she started laughing again.
Both boys glared at her, their arms crossed as they tapped their feet. "Alright, alright, we get it. We look hilarious and you're definitely going to use this as blackmail in the future. Now then, where is he?" James asked.
Savannah shrugged when she finally stopped laughing. "I don't know. He hasn't come in here," she lied, doing her best to keep a straight face and not to look over at the bathroom door.
The boys looked at each other before shrugging and leaving again, obviously buying her lie.
"Sorry, Lils. The boys were being their usual selves. There's a prank war going on and I guess Sirius went too far," Savannah explained into the phone.
Savannah could hear Lily laugh through the phone. "It's okay. I figured that's what was happening. What did Sirius do?" she replied.
"He turned their skin different colors, turned their hair pink, and put them into tutus," Savannah replied.
Lily laughed. "I bet that was quite the sight."
"It really was, Lils. I got a picture. I'll show you the next time I see you," Savannah promised, toying with the cord in her hand.
"Hey, Lily!" Sirius exclaimed into the phone as he flopped down beside Savannah.
"Hi, Sirius," Lily responded, less enthusiastically. Savannah could practically hear the eye roll through the phone.
"Alright, Lils. Talk to you later," Savannah told her before she hung up the phone.
Savannah looked over to Sirius. "So I'm guessing you want to hide out in here for a while?"
Sirius nodded with a grin. "Right, you are, 'Vannah. So what do you want to do?" He added with a smirk.
"Not that," Savannah replied, sitting up with a blush on her cheeks.
Sirius laughed. "It's so easy to get you flustered."
Savannah crossed her arms and scooted farther away from him. "Is not!"
"Oh yeah? Is that a challenge?" Sirius asked with a smirk as he sat up and leaned back on Savannah's pillows.
Savannah couldn't back out now. It just wasn't in her nature. So, she puffed out her chest and straightened. "Maybe," she replied with a smirk. Her heart was beating out of her chest. She was sure Sirius could hear it, especially with the way he looked at her and the way he was smirking.
Sirius leaned close to her ear, his breath tickling her and making her shudder slightly as he whispered, "Alright then. Challenge accepted."
