An Unexpected Love

Chapter 14

I couldn't sleep at all that night because of what happened with me and Kelly. We were the type of friends that were always texted and we hadn't texted or talked at all in a week. I've had sleepless nights this past week trying to think of how to fix this. But i told myself I had to let it go and let her get over it because I had already tried to apologize. She can hold a grudge for as long as she wants and no matter how much I can't stand not talking to her im going to let her hold a grudge.

I called Ashton and asked what he was up to and he said he had just woken up. I looked at the clock and it was 9:25. He told me if I wanted i could come over whenever and I told him okay and that I'd be over eventually. At times I felt bad that I had always gone to his house but i supposed it didn't really matter to him if he kept asking me over. I ate a cereal bar and got dressed and fixed up then headed over his house.

When i got there i walked in the door , I didn't need to knock or anything anymore because it was like my second home. I found ashton in his room putting on a shirt and i said "hey." He smiled and said "hey Han." And greeted me with a hug and kiss. I sat on his bed while he fixed his hair then he sat next to me. He glanced at me and asked what I was thinking about. I guess I had a concentrated look on my face because I was still thinking about Kelly. I sighed and told him I was trying to figure out what to do about kelly. He put his arm around me and put his head on mine. "You shouldn't worry about it too much. Shes just over reacting , I mean i can understand why she's upset. Her and me are basically in the same predicament. But you don't see me getting upset about it. Yea, it stung a little to see my girlfriend kiss my best friend but it was just a game and we were even sober", he assured me.

Gosh I love him. Whenever I'm down he shoots me back up. How does he always know exactly what to say. He's so perfect I don't think I deserve him. Everything about him is amazing!

I looked up at him and smiled and told him I appreciated him making me feel better. He replied, "anything for you babe." I got butterflies. Then I heard someone get up and walk in the hallway. By the obnoxious yawn I could tell it was Michael. He started walking to Ashton's room saying "ash can I have some..." And he paused when he saw me , "....nevermind." He laughed and winked at me as a joke and I just rolled my eyes and looked at ash. He smiled then laughed and shook his head.

When me and ash were laying on his bed watching the lion king, I felt my phone vibrate. I assumed it was just a notification from my Kim Kardashian game but when I looked at it , it was a text from kelly. I opened it and it was a long message. My heart was palpitating i was so nervous and I started to sweat a little. Ashton asked who it was and and I didn't answer. He started to rub my back and I read aloud :

"Hi Han, I'm really sorry about what happened. I know i over reacted and I shouldn't have flipped out on you. Mikey told me I should text you because you seemed upset when he saw you today. It's kinda weird how he sees you more than he sees me. But that's whatever. So im sorry and I hope we can just go back to the way things were, that would be great. Imy boo! "

That took a big load off my shoulders and i smiled after I read it. Ashton looked at me and he said "see, i told you , you just had to give her time and it'd all work out." I was proud of myself and i wouldn't have been held together through this as well of it weren't for Ash. Then my mom called me and told me to come home. So ashton drove me home.

When I walked in the door my mom was already there expecting me. She asked where i had been and I told her I was at Ashton's. She said she didn't like me over there so much especially since it's all full of boys. I yelled at her and told her she was over reacting because I was 17 and I had the right to do what I wanted and i wouldn't do anything stupid. She yelled at me and told me I was disrespectful and that I couldn't see ashton or any of my other friends for a week because she had had enough of my back sass. I told her she was ridiculous and she couldn't do that. Then i stormed out the front door and I ran and ran. I didn't know where I was headed but I didn't look back.
