Chapter 7

The next morning, I'm still curled up next to Chanyeol. I wake up as soon as he gets out of his bed. I look up at him and he looks down at me in confusion.

"I don't remember falling asleep with you there. Aren't you supposed to be at Kai's?" Chanyeol asks me. I smile slightly.

"I was, but I came home." I tell him. Chanyeol keeps looking at me.

"What happened?" He asks seriously. I sit up and look at him.

"He wanted sex, but I stopped him." I say. Chanyeol searches my face.

"You did?" I nod at his question.

"I'm not ready and I wanted to come home." I tell him. Chanyeol smiles softly.  He leans over the bed and puts his face in front of mine.

"I'm glad you did. Did you sleep good?" He asks. I smile and glance at his lips. I hurry and look back at his eyes.

"I did." I reply. Chanyeol pecks the tip of my nose.

"So did I." He says and wraps his arms around me. He easily picks me up out of his bed. He holds me in his arms.

"Let's get ready for our day." Chanyeol says and sets me on my feet. I move out of his room and go into my own. I get dressed in something comfortable. EXO have a practice this morning and it could be a long one.

I go back into our kitchen where Chanyeol is making us breakfast. I sit down and he brings our food to the table. He sits down too and starts eating.

"Do you have plans with Kai today?" He asks. I shrug.

"I don't know, I may have made it awkward yesterday." I say. Chanyeol frowns slightly then happens to look at my hand. He points at my ring.

"What is that?" He asks me.

"He gave me a promise ring." I tell him. He pauses for a second.

"It's cute." He says softly. I take his hand and he looks up at me.

"You're my number one and always will be." I tell him softly. He nods slightly and then starts to smile.

"I know I am, but.." He starts and I shake my head.

"We've only been together for a month, Chanyeol.." I say and we look at each other in silence. Chanyeol squeezes ny hand.

"Let's get to SM." He suggests and I nod. We both get up and leave our apartment. I keep looking over at him as we walk to SM. Chanyeol notices and smiles.

"I'm fine. I promise." He tells me. I start to smile and link our arms. That's how we walk the rest of the way.

When we get inside SM, Chanyeol walks ahead of me into the practice room. Kai smiles at me when he sees me and that makes me feel okay about yesterday. I get practice started right away and sit down. I work on paper work while they dance. I watch them every once in a while to see how they are doing.

Four hours of practice later and I finally stop them. They practiced so many of their songs and are looking very good. Kai comes up to me after I let them go. He kisses me softly.

"I will see you later, unfortunately I'm busy tonight." He tells me. I smile at him and nod.

"I have work I need to get done any way." I say. He nods and kisses me again before leaving the room. Chanyeol comes and sits beside me.

"Do you want help?" He asks me. I smile even more.

"That would be so great." I reply.

Chanyeol and I spend a few more hours at SM before heading home for the day. We both crash on our couch and turn the tv on. I watch for a little while before turning to Chanyeol.

"Did Kai ever say what his plans were?" I ask him. Chanyeol glances at me, but stays looking at the tv.

"He mentioned something about the club in town." He replies. I nod and smile.

"I'm going to surprise him." I say. Chanyeol looks at me.

"Be careful." He says. I get up and go into my room. I pick out my simple dress and put it on. I grab my bag and leave our apartment. I get a cab and tell them the name of the popular club.

The cab driver drops me off at the front and I go inside. The music is loud and its dimly lit. I look around the room and I spot Kai. I start to walk over to him when I see him hug on another girl. He leans down and kisses her.

My heart instantly stops and then I get angry. What the hell is going on? I walk over to them.

"Kai!" I say loudly. He stops making out with his chick and turns towards me. He looks at me and has the nerve to smile.

"What is going on?" I ask him, while glaring at him. Kai smiles and lightly grabs my arm. He leads me away and then stops in front of me.

"That's my girlfriend, Jennie." He tells me.

"I'm your girlfriend, Kai." I say. He chuckles.

"You think we were real? Nothing I ever did or said was true." Kai tells me. I look at him in shock and my eyes start to burn from the tears wanting to escape.

"You played me the whole time?" I ask through grinded teeth. Kai smirks.

"Yeah I did. I've never felt anything for you. It was a lie. It was making you happy." He tells me. My hand instantly slaps him hard on his face.

"You asshole!" I say loudly. I quickly take the ring off my finger and throw it at him hard. I turn around and walk fast out of the club. As soon as I get outside, I start to breakdown. I need Chanyeol.

I get myself a cab while having my breakdown. I get inside and try to tell them where to go. A few minutes later they drop me off in front of my apartment. I've lost all the energy I've had and I slowly walk to our front door.

I open our door and my legs just give way, all my energy was gone. I'm still crying as I look up at Chanyeol. He runs to me and kneels down in front of me.

"I'm so stupid!" I say and start crying even harder.

"What the hell is going on?" He asks me, his face full of concern.

"Kai.." I say softly. Chanyeol lifts my chin to look at him.

"What the fuck did he do to you?" He asks me and seaches my face.

"He was just playing with me the entire time." I try to tell him without choking on my words while crying.

"That asshole!" Chanyeol says loudly and quickly stands up. I quickly grab his hand and hold it as tight as I can.

"Please stay with me. I can't do this on my own." I tell him and more tears seem to fall down my face. Chanyeol leans down and picks me up bridal style. He takes me to his room and lays me on his bed. He gets in next to me and covers us up.

"You can stay with me as long as you need to." He says before pulling me to him. I curl up next to him and just cry it out.
