Tabby is EXO's manager and Chanyeol is her best friend. She fastly becomes attracted to Kai and things start to move fast for them. Tabby finds out a secret that Kai is hiding and Chanyeol is there to help her through it all.

The next morning I get up and take a shower. I walk back into my bedroom wrapped in my towel. I pick a cute pink crop top and black skinny jeans to wear. I fix my hair and look at myself in the mirror. I think I look okay for later today. After the guys practice, Kai and I are going on our date.
I'm nervous about the date. It's my first date with any guy. I keep telling myself that I can do it. I can't back out of it. I can definitely do this. If I get nervous before it, Chanyeol can help calm me down. He is very good at doing that for me. He just brings me comfort. That's probably one reason why we are so close.
I come out of my room and head over to Chanyeol, who is sitting on our couch. I stand in front of him and he looks up at me. He smiles softly.
"Yes?" He asks. I smile.
"How do I look?" I ask him.
"You look perfect as always." He replies. I smile more. Chanyeol stands up and looks down at me. He smiles before wrapping his arms around me. He pulls me closer to him and I close my eyes for a few seconds. Chanyeol rests his head on mine.
"You're going to be just fine. I know how nervous you are right now." He says. I smile into his chest. He can always tell how I'm feeling by just looking at me.
"Thank you, Chanyeol." I say softly. He pulls away from me and holds my shoulders. We both look at each other.
"You come right to me if it goes bad, okay?" I nod.
"I will." I reply.
"I swear if he breaks your heart, he will feel my wrath." Chanyeol says. I start to smile softly. There's the protective best friend I know.
"Yes he will." I say. Chanyeol smiles.
"I just want this to be a good experience for you." He says softly. I smile.
"I know you do and I hope it is." I reply. Chanyeol checks the time.
"Why don't we head to work now?" He asks. I nod and take a deep breath. We head out of our apartment amd start down the sidewalk. I look up at Chanyeol as we walk.
"Could I hold your hand?" I ask softly. Chanyeol smiles and instantly offers me his hand. I take it in mine and hold it tightly. This is starting to calm me down as we walk to SM.
We let each other's hand go as we walk into the building. As we walk to the practice room, I start to get nervous all over again. Just thinking about seeing Kai has my heart jumping out of my chest. Chanyeol stops me before we go in.
"Remember, you got this." He says and we both walk in. I nod to myself. I got this.
All the guys are already here, including Kai. We lock eyes as I walk in and I look away when I get in front of them. I scan over all of them and then I smile.
"Let's practice for a little bit, then I will let you go for the day." I tell them. Everyone smiles in response. I turn on their music and they all get right into practicing. I sit and do some paper work as they practice. I watch them every so often.
I let practice end after an hour. They are so good at what they do that they don't need that much practice. I stand up from my spot as I let them go. Chanyeol walks up to me and lightly kisses the top of my head.
"You be safe, okay? Call me if you need anything." He tells me softly. I nod and smile at him.
"You know I will." I reply.
"I love you little bestie." He says and smiles.
"I love you too." I say. He turns around and points to Kai.
"You better take care of her or you'll have to deal with me." Chanyeol tells him. Kai watches as he leaves and then he turns to me. He smiles and comes closer to me.
"He really cares about you." He says. I nod.
"He is my best friend." I reply.
"That's good support to have." Kai says and offers me his arm. I take it and we walk out of SM. We walk down the sidewalk.
"Where are we going?" I ask him. Kai smiles.
"I'm going to take you to my favorite place to eat." He tells me. I smile in response and let him take me to this place.
He opens the door for me and we head inside. We both sit down. We look at the menu briefly before we both order the ramen. Kai turns his attention to me after we order. I smile slightly as he looks at me.
"I really like you." He tells me.
"Yeah?" I ask. He smiles sweetly and nods.
"I think we are made for each other." Kai says. I raise my eyebrow.
"Really?" I ask.
"Do you believe in soul mates?" Kai asks.
"Soul mates?"
"Yeah, I believe that is us." He says. I suddenly start to laugh.
"I think you're crazy, Kai." I reply. Kai smiles.
"I think you'll see it soon." He says.
"Okay, we'll see." I reply and smile. We both get our food and start eating it.
We talk while we eat. We talk about our lives before EXO and we end up talking about everything else. Kai certainly has a lot of charm and is handsome. I may be starting to like him, but I'm still so unsure about all of this. He believes we could be soul mates and I've only ever felt that way with my friendship with Chanyeol. I don't know about all of this.
At the end of our date, Kai takes me home. We are saying our goodbyes when Kai puts his hand next to my head on the wall behind me. He puts his face close to my own. My heart picks up speed.
"I will see you later." He says and leans in. His lips softly touch my own and I think I've melted. Kai pulls away and walks away from me. I watch as he walks away and then I go inside. I walk into the apartment.
"How did it go?" Chanyeol asks.
"It went better than I thought it would." I reply. Chanyeol smiles.
"I knew it would." He says. He comes over to me and kisses the top of my head.
"I'm glad you had fun. I will see you in the morning." Chanyeol tells me. I smile and we both go to our own rooms. What an interesting day.
