"Jisung what happened," everyone exclaimed, jumping up. I had just arrived back at Renjun's dorm with my fake bruises and the look of shock on my face.
"Jaemin, they took Renjun," I speak slowly, almost as though the memory had been traumatizing.
"Who took Renjun," Jaemin asks. There was worry on his face. My heart twinged at the pain Jaemin was going through but it would be temporary. Soon he would discover that it was supposed to be us together and he would get over this foolishness.
"I-I don't know. We were walking to my car and then they beat me up and took Renjun," I stutter, wearing my worry and confusion like a mask.
Jaemin walks over to the couch and puts his head in his hands. Jeno looks comforts Chenle who was in shock. I look over at Hyuck who was sitting beside Mark. His eyes were narrowed on me and I knew right then and there that he knew and something had to be done about it.
"So, you discovered that Donghyuck knew Renjun's disappearance wasn't an accident. What happened after that?"
"I let him go. I wasn't going to do anything, not to draw suspicion to myself. It was he who approached me first."
I was in the bathroom washing my hands when Hyuck enters.
"Oh, hey Jisung, I didn't expect to see you here," he says casually, acting like I didn't see him lock the door.
"You act as though I didn't know you followed me in here," I say rather emotionlessly.
"Well, you caught me." He lets out a nervous laugh.
"There was actually something I wanted to talk to you about."
"Continue," I say, turning off the water and drying my hands.
"I know it was you who took Renjun. I saw you knock him out and stuff him in your car that night. I know that he wasn't even supposed to be with you," he says, I could see the anger in his expression. I let out a light chuckle.
"This isn't funny Jisung. Where is he? And why did you do it?"
"You sure are brave coming in here and confronting me, you know that," I say with a small chuckle again. I quickly survey the room, checking for cameras. Right now he and I were all alone.
"Don't think I won't tell Jaemin. I will. Just answer my questions and let him go and I'll drop it," he threatens. I almost laugh again but this joke was getting old and I was getting bored.
"You know Donghyuck, you never were able to keep your nose on your face," I say, looking him right in the eyes. His face contorts into confusion.
I quickly grab him and force him into one of the stalls. I bring him down to his knees, submerging his head into the water. He begins to fight with his arms and legs but ultimately I was too strong for him. Minutes later he stops struggling and goes still.
I let go of him and lower him into the ground. He looked so peaceful. Maybe I'd have regret if he had minded his own business. For right now I smirk at my work. My secret was hidden and that's all that mattered.
"I knew your curiosity would get you in trouble some day, I just didn't know it'd be at my hands."
I walk out of the stall and rewash my hands. I quickly exit the bathroom making sure no one had seen me and go join the others at our lunch table.
"Hey Ji, have you seen Hyuck," Jaemin asks as soon as I sit down.
"No, why?"
"He left to find you a little bit ago. He probably got distracted," Jaemin concludes. Yes, distracted, very distracted.
"His body was discovered later that day but it wasn't until after school that we were called in. His parents were there, sobbing while Mark was trying to help. To say I felt anything would be a lie. I knew then that Mark knew it was me. I knew I had to get rid of him before he told anyone else."
