Jisung walks into the office to find Dr. Kim, once again standing there with a goofy smile.

"Good morning Jisung," he says happily.

"Good morning Dr. Kim," Jisung responds with a soft smile.

"Do you know what today is, Jisung?"

Jisung shakes his head, once again unsure of the special date. He knew it wasn't Christmas or New Years, seeing as both had passed. Maybe it was Valentine's Day?

Dr. Kim moves his hands from behind his back revealing a cupcake with a singular, lit candle in it.

"It's your birthday Jisung!"

Jisung was taken aback by the gesture. He hadn't expected Dr. Kim to sneak him something sweet or something that could be dangerous. He partially questions how Dr. Kim hasn't burnt himself.

"Blow out your candles and make a wish," Dr. Kim says, bring the small treat closer to him. Jisung shuts his eyes and thinks for a moment before blowing lightly.

"So, what'd you wish for," Chenle's voice rings out through my ears. I slowly open my eyes and look at the older who was beaming.

Chenle has decided to throw me a surprise birthday but no one showed up. Jaemin was out on a date with Jeno and well, we all know where the other's were.

"I can't tell you," I say with a soft grin. Chenle frowns but quickly perks back up.

"Well, I hope your wish comes true Jisung," he smiles brightly.  A weird sensation spreads through my chest but I smile back at the blonde male.

"I have something planned," Dr. Kim says once I open my eyes. I raise an eyebrow in confusion.

"Grab your coat."

Minutes later, we're standing at the door of the facility. This one didn't lead out to the courtyard though, it led to the outside world.

"I have the privilege of taking you out today Jisung." The younger stood shocked. He was really going outside. He was going to see other people who weren't patients. He was going to be with normal people.

Dr. Kim pushes the door open and Jisung steps out in a rush, taking in the sight of the parking lot and the electric fence that lay beyond the yard.

The institution wasn't too far out of town but Jisung enjoyed every minute of the car ride. He enjoyed watching the world pass outside the window.

The city was bustling. Cars honked, the citizens talked amongst themselves, street venders sold cheap cups of coffee and warm pastries, the air smelled of city life, something Jisung had longed for.

The younger stuck close to his therapist, tempted to hold onto his arm. Jisung knew he was safe but he hadn't been around this many people in a long time.

"Come on Jisung, I want to buy you a present," Chenle chirped, grabbing my hand and dragging me along the side walk.

"Chenle, you really don't have to buy me anything," I respond sheepishly.

"Jisung, it's your birthday, of course I'm buying you a present," he says with a wide smile that spreads to his eyes.

The pair walk in and out of shops, looking but never buying. Jisung was just amazed at how much the world had changed in the time he had been gone. That's the weird thing about leaving, you expect it all to stay the same but it doesn't. Life goes on with or without you.

Jisung and Dr. Kim end their day at a cafe, a very familiar cafe for Jisung. Korea had many but this one stuck out. It was Jisung's favorite cafe. This was the cafe he always came to with Jaemin, it was the cafe Jaemin took Renjun and now Jeno too, it was the cafe Jisung took Chenle too.

The pair take the seat closest to the door. Dr. Kim goes up to order the coffee's while Jisung stares out the window, watching the people pass in fascination.

"Jisung, we have to go," Dr. Kim's frantic voice rings out through his head. Jisung looks at the older who was frantically grabbing our things.

"What's wrong," Jisung asks, confused and slightly concerned.

"Don't ask questions. We have to go," Dr. Kim says grabbing Jisung's wrist, dragging him out of his seat. Dr. Kim walks quickly through the streets and doesn't calm down until they are in the car with the doors locks.

"What was that?"

"I saw someone. It was nothing but it freaked me out. I'm sorry for worrying you Jisung," Dr. Kim says in a soft tone. Jisung doesn't say anything but settles in for the ride back to the institution.

What Dr. Kim won't tell Jisung is he say a certain someone at the cafe.

"Come on Jisung, lets go," Chenle says, grabbing my hand. I don't move though, I stand with my feet planted to the ground. I stare at the couple who were enjoying a nice date with tears in my eyes.

"Jisung, let's go. We can eat at my house," Chenle says, tugging harder on my hand. This time I choose to give in, turning away from the pair and walking out of the cafe.

"I'm so sorry Jisung. I really had no idea they'd be there," Chenle says apologetically. Before I can stop myself, I wrap my arms around Chenle and sob into his shoulder.

The older slowly relaxes into the hug and wraps his arms around me in a soothing and comfortable way.
