"I'm Ten. Eleven is my sister. I escaped bad men, now I look for my sister, where is my sister?" The group comprehended Ten's broken down words, they understood that she had little to no human interaction that didn't involve abuse and mistreatment. The group looked around at each other, and Mike gave her a solemn look. Ten furrowed her eyebrows and stood up. She knew their silence meant bad news. Ten walked up to Mike and looked him in the eyes. They both suddenly were surrounded by darkness, only water at their feet. Mike looked around in shock, "Whe-Where are we?!" He shrieked. "Your mind." Ten retorted, they both turned around and saw the Demogorgon in a classroom setting, the boys on the opposite side of the room with Eleven on a table. Lucas used his slingshot to hurt the monster with no avail. Ten saw how her sister rose and destroyed the monster and disappeared along with her. Ten felt warm tears stream down her face, "No! My sister! No! No!" The poor girl cried. "I'm- I'm sorry Ten, but look! I saw her outside of my window the same night after this happened, she's here, I know she is." Mike reassured her and he now held her in the darkness. Her eyes beamed, "We will find her." Ten nodded, the scene before them turning to dust.
"Mike-Mike!" Wake up!" Nancy vigorously shook his body, Steve doing the same with Ten. They opened their eyes at the same time and ignored the rest of the group. "Are you guys okay?!" Lucas' voice was laced with concern, Mike nodded in response. They both stood up and sat in their original seats. The party went silent again until Steve spoke, "So... what powers do you exactly have, short-stack?"
Ten pointed at her head, not exactly answering the question. "I don't get it" he said bluntly. She looked him in the eyes, and suddenly she was inside of his body, controlling his movements."I'm Captain Steeeeve-O!!!!" Steve yelled as he pulled down his pants, "Dude, nice Star Wars underwear!" Dustin said, with absolutely no sarcasm in his voice. She left his mind and returned to her body, wiping the blood off her face. "You like something called ballet," Ten spoke to him in particular, the group miserably held their laughs in. "HEY! NO MORE GOING INTO MY MIND, GOT IT AMIGO?!" Steve barked as he pointed at her. Ten giggled, "Got it, amigo."
"So you're telepathic? You can read minds and control people? That's kickass! What else can you do?" Dustin extolled. Ten knew she had another power that she never used, only once.
"We need more results, dammit!" A harsh fist landed closely to her face, Ten jumped a little. She looked at General Cooper with fright. A cat was caged in front of her, her assignment was to enter its mind and control it. They'd wanted to use her as a spy this way. "Focus god dammit, then you can get some rest." He growled at her. Ten looked intensely at the cat, attempting to invade its mind. She felt blood pouring down her nose, but nothing had happened. Ten felt like crying, she needed to do something now or else it would cost her. The last time she didn't get rest she'd been locked in a room filled with loud static and hallucinated for nights on end. She looked into the poor cats eyes, and that's when it happened. Ten's body was on the floor, except it wasn't her body, it was a cat, and it was covered in the hospital gown she was wearing. Ten had shifted into the cat that was in front of her, they were identical. Ten meowed nonstop, terrified of what was going on, and shifted back into her human form. Cooper was in total shock, dropping his Cuban Cigar, "holy shit."
"Animal." Was all she said. "I'm sorry, what about animals?" Dustin replied. "I can shift into animal." The party's eyes went wide, "Holy shit, she can be our Druid guys! She's The Druid!" Dustin cajoled. They all agreed with him, happily accepting her into their party. "The fuck is a Druid" huffed our Jonathan, him, Nancy, and Steve were all confused. "It's a Dungeons and Dragons class, they deal with nature and can turn into animals and stuff like that," Lucas explained. "Can you do anything else?" He continued. She looked up at Lucas and said, "I destroy... living." Ten remembered the many times General Cooper had forced her to kill men with her mind control. As long as it was living and breathing, she could manipulate it. She never had any sort of luck with inanimate objects.
"Well I gotta ask, where is she gonna stay exactly? My parents come back Monday and they can't really see her." Steve explained to the party. "Our mom could take her in, she loved Eleven and I'm sure she'll love you too" Will spoke up, smiling at Ten. She didn't want to leave Steve's house, but didn't wanna get him in trouble. She assumed all fathers were evil since that's all she'd been shown. "Do you think she'd be fine with it Jonathan?" Will asked, forgetting that his brother was there. "Yeah, she can crash on one of our beds. Mom would love having another girl around anyway." He smiled at Will. "Then it's settled, she'll stay at our house!" Will beamed happily.
A/N: ahhh don't hate me another short filler chapter!!! I just wanted y'all to know the almost full extent of her powers! Just one more to show hehe but it'll take a minute. Anyway my new story is out!!! It's called "The Twin" and it's about a girl who can split herself into two copies, ones a pyrokinetic and the other a Cryokinetic. I love the direction I'm going with in this story so I'll update as much as I can before I go to college!
