Area 51 Lab
"How do you feel?"
"..."
"Is she still out?"
"No shit, Sherlock, she'd be responding by now if she wasn't."
"I don't need your sass again, Richard."
"Then don't say dumbass shit, Clyde."
Ten could clearly hear these men, Richard and Clyde, talking over her body. She hated the process but it was one that she'd been forced to believe was necessary.
"We need our machine to work properly"
She could clearly hear General Cooper stating that again and again.
Ten
The mean men had given me another shot, the ones that make me see things and hear things that aren't there. "They'll help your powers amplify!" Cooper had always told me. I didn't like it. It hurt. The visuals hurt my head and I can't focus on anything, but he was right about one thing: my powers seemed enhanced. This time I was passed out, but I was still there. My body was lying on the cold, metal floor but I was standing over them.
"What do you think she's doing?"
"Jesus, Richard, you act as if I have the answer to this shit"
"She's on two shots of LSD, I'm pretty sure she HAS to being something in that mind..."
"Richard she might have just passed out from-"
"ARE YOU TWO DONE?" Cut off General Cooper over the speakers
"... sorry Sir, won't happen again sir."
I looked down at my body, I don't know what "LSD" is, but it doesn't make me feel good. I start walking towards the door, and to my surprise I continued walking straight through it!
This... this could be it.
The dreams I've been having, they're real and I need to leave this place now. It's time.
I moved closer to the men sitting around the machines that controlled the room. The button, it was there! The one that had imprisoned me many times in that horrible, god awful chamber. The chamber had constant noise over the speaker when I was alone. They didn't want me to use my powers unsupervised, and static noise drove me insane. It made me hurt myself but they didn't care.
I look down at the button, there was an old man sitting in a chair next to it, i reached out my left hand and walked closer to him, touching him where his head is at. Suddenly I entered his body.
I became another person.
I can see through his eyes, hear through his ears, this is totally bitchin'.
I had to plan this out carefully, but then again I only have a good 5 minutes to escape and get the hell out of this lab, so I might as well just say "fuck it."
I opened the case that protected the button and slammed my fist on it, opening the metal door.
"What the FUCK do you think you-" Cooper started, but never finished. I returned to my own body somehow, i didn't know exactly what my powers were letting me do, but the LSD did help me use them now. I looked at Richard and Clyde and repeated the actions I did many years ago.
"Die!" I yelled, and they both dropped to the floor, choking to death somehow. Cooper looked absolutely shocked, he was practically petrified. No one thought to close the door before I made it out of the chamber.
"Die, die, die." I repeated, entering the minds of the men in the room. They all obliged to my order, falling as they either shot themselves or were choked to death by my own powers, but I kept Cooper alive. He cowered when I walked towards him, and I grabbed his wrist.
"Open gates. Let me out. Don't look for me. I'm dead. I died here." The words seeped into his malleable mind. He nodded and he began walking towards the door, exiting the room. I followed behind him and he took us to a machine that goes up and down, I think it was called an "eleven-ate-her" which was odd, I giggled at lack of words I knew. He pushed a button with an up arrow on it and we headed towards our destination. After some time, since I can't really tell time, we finally arrived to a floor with sunlight. I haven't seen that in years!
Cooper mindlessly walked and I followed him. He took me into a room with a single, giant door. He kept on walking until he halted in front of a little machine with a number pad, punching in things I didn't know. Suddenly, seven men barged in through the door we had entered through, but I didn't wanna deal with them.
"Die" I yelled. They all shot themselves right through the head, besides one man who was ripped apart in the middle.
Well that's a new one. I giggled. Do people usually giggle at things like this?
Finally, the door had began to slowly open, and I looked back at Cooper. "Cameras off, okay? OFF!" I yelled. He nodded and left in an instant. He wouldn't remember me after this. I didn't cover all of my tracks, but I need to get to my sister with urgency. I only knew about the cameras because of the ones they'd kept in my rooms, if they had some in there then they'd definitely have some outside. I know I'm not the only thing hidden away in this base, sometimes they'd try to see if I could control the weird men they had in other labs at the base, "extra-terrestrials" they'd call them. What was extra about them? Was it because they had no noses? Was it meant to be funny because of that? I don't know, but I did know that I was running away from here.
I'll see you soon sister.
