Ten had never felt happier in her whole life. It was Halloween day, and her and Steve planned to go to a party in an hour. He decided that they should wear matching costumes, him as a devil and her as an angel. Currently, she was getting dressed with the help of Joyce. She wore an old, pretty dress they'd found at a thrift shop and wings with a crown, along with a blonde wig they'd found, as well as white flats. The dress reached up until her knees, and she felt beautiful, a word she learned from Steve. She couldn't express her gratitude towards everyone, literally she didn't know how to explain it as she never felt it before this point in her life.

"Oh sweetie, you look so damn precious! Jonathan! Get in here! Take a picture of Ten and Will together!" Joyce's voice bounced around the house

"Oh sweetie, you look so damn precious! Jonathan! Get in here! Take a picture of Ten and Will together!" Joyce's voice bounced around the house. Ten couldn't stop smiling, everything about modern human culture fascinated her, from the cameras, to holidays. Ten looked at herself in the mirror, she did a little twirl and watched her dress briefly float. The boys rushed into the living room, Jonathan in his normal, everyday wear and Will in his Ghostbusters costume.

"Okay, so Will do a little pose with the vacuum and Ten, just stand there and smile like the angel that you are!" Joyce's hands clapped together, she felt happier with a girl around the house. She loved teaching her new things and grew close to her in the short amount of time she'd lived there. Will stood next to Ten and posed, while Ten grabbed her dress out of nerves. "Okay, ready? Big smiles!" Jonathan said as he clicked his camera. Both kids smiled as wide as they could and Ten giggled the flash went off. Joyce's boyfriend, Bob, came into the room. He was dressed as a vampire, and Ten loved him too. She thought he was a funny man and liked how kind he was. There was a sudden knock at the door, "I'll get it!" Rang bob, smiling wide as ever.

The door opened, and there stood Steve Harrington in all of his glory. He wore fake light up devil horns, a red, long sleeve shirt, black pants, and red converse, along with his signature Ray Bans hanging off his shirt. Ten blushed when she saw him, she couldn't deny his attraction towards him, she even told Joyce about the "shame" she'd felt towards him.

"Joyce... I feel ashamed..." Ten said one night. She had just gotten back from getting ice cream with Steve, she loved strawberry the most. "What's wrong?" Joyce said, her voice filled with worry. She saw a tear roll down Ten's face. "Steve makes me feel shame. General Cooper said this feeling is shame. How does it go away?" She murmured. Joyce hugged her and let out a sigh, "Sweetie, no no. You have it all wrong!" She exclaimed, "The bad men didn't want you to have feelings. But that's what you're feeling right now. It's not shame sweetie, it's, well, you like him." She continued. Ten was confused, of course she liked him? He was nice? "By like, I mean it in a romantic way." She finished. "What's 'romantic?'" She wondered. "It's when you feel something towards someone, and it's strong. Like, Jonathan and Nancy, they're boyfriend and girlfriend because they have romantic feelings towards each other. They wanna be with each other and make one another happy. It's not shame at all sweetie, you shouldn't feel that way when you like someone. Do you understand what I mean?" Ten nodded, feeling better about her confused emotions.
