Y/N POV
I sighed heavily as I ran a hand through my hair. It had been a pretty stressful week of work for me and I am very happy that it is now the weekend. I was looking forward to the Chicago Red Stars game that I was going to tomorrow.
I walked into the bar just down the street from work and sat down at the bar. I never went out much anymore because I had been so focused on work and decided to treat myself to a drink or two. The bartender came over and took my drink order and I glanced up at the T.V. as he made my drink. I smiled slightly to myself as I saw Christen Press on the screen smiling as they showed highlights from the game last weekend. If I was being honest Christen Press was the most angelic person I've seen in my whole life. I was pulled out of my thoughts as the bartender put the drink down in front of me and the chair next to me became occupied by a guy who looked to be the same age as me. I rolled my eyes as I knew exactly what was going to happen. I was going to have the whole 'I'm into girls' talk and then he would say 'I can change that. Just give me a chance.' He smiled at me "Hey cutie. What's your name?"
"I'm Y/N and I'm into girls so unless you're here to be my friend then I'm not interested." I said just quickly glancing at him.
"Yeah, okay I'm not falling for that. Just because you don't want a guy to hit on you doesn't mean you have to claim you're gay. I don't see your girlfriend here so you're up for grabs." He said smirking at me.
I heard a group of people come in but I was too distracted by the guy putting his hand on my thigh to look up and see who walked in. I grabbed his hand to take it off of my thigh but he just put it right back.
"My girlfriend is on her way so in just a few minutes you'll be disappointed and have a black eye." I said a little louder so hopefully, some girl would hear and possibly step in to help me.
A few very short moments later I felt an arm wrap around my waist and a woman say "Hey baby, sorry I'm late. You know how traffic can be." I felt her squeeze me slightly.
"Don't worry about it. I was just telling this guy here that you were on your way." I said turning my head to look at the woman and tried to keep my composure as I came face to face with none other then Christen Press.
I looked back at the guy and see him looking a little uneasy.
Christen gave him a cold look and took a step towards him "You better get on your way then."
He got up and walked away quickly and walking out of the bar completely.
I finally had the chance to turn around and actually look at the goddess in front of me. "Wow thank you for coming to the rescue.'
Christen smiled at me "I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Maybe next time I won't have to lie about you being my girlfriend."
I raised my eyebrows in amusement at her and she got a nervous look on her face.
"Sorry, that was a lot. Um, maybe a date at least? Gosh, now I'm sounding like that guy. I'm sorry." She said rambling.
"I'd love to go on a date with you. Maybe after the game tomorrow?" I smiled and pulled out my phone.
"Are you going to the game tomorrow?" She said excitedly.
I nodded my head. "Put your number in and I'll meet you somewhere after?"
Christen pulled her phone out and we exchanged numbers. "See you tomorrow for our date girlfriend." She smirked and handed me my phone back. "We're here for some team bonding so I have to go."
I took my phone from her and nodded in understanding. "See you tomorrow." I smiled "Thanks again for saving me."
I walked out of the bar and started home. I laughed to myself as I looked at my phone seeing Christen put her name as 'Lifesaver'.
