After a long silence, John finally asked
"Sir, why did no one show up to the second trial, and why was Lugim Sarius not there?" Jakeryn looked at him smiling. He reached in is bag pulling out the knife. It now read,
The Tesushic Knife, of Lance Ni-Jakeryn, the condenser of Power
"This knife is quite manipulative, it's power can make any man do anything. It made you anxious and rash." Jakeryn Explained. "Any way, we best get moving." He put the knife away and pulled out two large clothes. He fanned them out to show to ropes attached to them.
"Oh no... I'm willing to fight my way through the forest, but paragliding down an actual cliff is off limits!" John said backing away from Jakeryn. John had a deadly fear of heights.
"John, it either this or you'll spend the next day scaling the cliff." John nodded.
"I will scale this mountain."
"Alone." Jakeryn said handing him the paraglider. Jakeryn launched him self off the cliff holding the paraglider. John went to look anxiously. He began to fly down to the great fields. John was getting frantic. He really didn't want to spend a day scaling this mountain with this sword. He prepared himself, and jump. The paraglider shot up immediately.
Finally after what felt like years, John's feet hit the ground. His paraglider fell to the ground and he dropped to the grass. It felt strange, unlike earth Grass. It was soft and extremely easy to pull out.
"John, get up! We gotta go!" The sky was getting dark and John was getting tired.
"Can't we rest soon!" John asked panting.
"Yes there's a small shack right across this field.its at the edge of the forest." John sat up to see a shack at the edge of the forest. "Just don't aggregate any of the creatures." The walked through the grass which was higher that there heads at this point." Many creatures popped through the grass snoring of them but they still slipped by. They managed to sneak into the shack. It had antlers hung up on every wall. There were paintings and furniture place randomly across the room. A silver and red sword hung up on the wall, identical to the Sword of eagles Wrath.
"What is that?" John asked. Jakeryn walked over to it picking it up.
"This is what I thought was the Eagles sword for the longest time. Given to me by an elvish smithy, it was pure crap."
Jakeryn had a frustrated look then he seems to refocus.
"John I need to explain some more of the story." John looked at Jakeryn interested. "These artifacts all have dark pasts and consequences I think I need to tell you about. Like the knife, all of these posses power that can turn a man wild. Us having many of them, you should know there problems."
Jakeryn cleared his throat, and pulled out the clock stone, the knife, the staff, the cloak, the ring, the flute, and the pendant.
"These are known as the seven artifact of Erir. All of them forged and crafted by the Jakeryns. First the pendant. As you are aware with the power of storm, I think you can tell the dangers. The pendant can only work if you are vulnerable." John picked it up and a light rain started. He attempted to set things alight, but it failed.
"Second is the clock, the burning rock. It's power is only beat by its danger. Going back, can cause to many problems to exploit it. While you can't change the essence of what the universe is, you can only use it to relive times. The third is the knife we explained but if wielded by someone unworthy, the knife will turn on you. The fourth is the staff, the odd one out. Forged by me,cites power reveals it self to a chosen person, with a chosen ability. Your friend Scott didn't do quite as well as I thought he would with it. It's power is impossible to reveal put turn wheels behind the scenes. The cloak is the weakest of the bunch, as you may have seen it defends you against any one threat. It can make you cocky and oblivious to your surroundings. The flute is quite powerful in the right hands. It can smooth any creature in a radius of forty feet. Finally the ring."
Jakeryn picked up the ring with the blue stone on it. "It can turn any man mad with power. It is the most manipulative thing in this room, not the most powerful. It can show you a vision of what we're you need to go. It thrives off sadness and has led many of my family to death. It can show you your greatest failure or desire. It is a path finder bound to no one." He handed the ring to John. John put it on and closed his eyes. His face flinched and contracted.
"I see.... a man, two men!" John explained. "Running through a forest, to save someone!" He opened his eyes. Jakeryn looked at John with a scared look.
"Maybe we should get some rest and try in the morning." Jakeryn took out to sleeping bag and gave one to John. John took it.
"Sir, is this your house" Jakeryn smiled and nodded. John got into his sleeping bag and felled a sleep almost immediately. He dreamed about that vision. He only knew one thing. The men were trying to save someone. But who?
