Jack

"Babe I really don't want to intrude-" Tiana was getting me frustrated because she's saying stuff like she doesn't want to be apart of this, like she's my girlfriend and that means we're in it together.

"Tiana for the millionth time, I want you here." She nodded but turned away from me.

I rolled my eyes and unlocked the car, hoping out and searching the parking lot for Eva's car.

I spot it and see her sitting in her car, with her head resting on the stirring wheel.

Her head perks up and she sees me, I can almost tell she smirked after noticing me, which makes my lips curve into a smile.

She gets out of her car and locks it, making her way over to me.

She looked great, she was wearing black ripped skinny jeans and a long sleeve white shirt that flowed in the windy weather. And black heeled boots, she looks so good.

I feel an arm snake around my own and I then tare my eyes away from my baby momma and look down at my girlfriend.

Fuck Jack. That's a different thought.

Eva reaches us and completely ignores Tiana and smiles up at me, "hi Jack"

A bright smile can't help but cover my face, I literally feel my eyes light up. "You ready for this?"

She seemed very nervous and an old instinct would be to grab her hand but that just isn't the case right now.

We all make our way inside and Eva goes up to the lady at the front desk and signs a few things before the lady says, "okay just have a seat and he will be out to get you in just a minute."

Eva modded and said "thank you" and then came and sat across from us.

Tiana looks over at me and says, "I'm going to stay out here." I gave her a quick nod and before I knew it the doctor called Eva's name.

We both stood up and walked in behind the doctor.

He lead us to a nice exam room and opened the door for us, and then stepped in.

"Good morning, my name is Doc. Donaldson."

I shook his hand, "morning, it's Jack" he then proceeded to shake Eva's hand, "and you must be Eva Goff, nice to meet you."

She nervously smiled. "So, we're having a baby?" He makes a joke as he gestured to the bed that Eva needed to be laying on.

She walks over to it and sits on it laying back, her hands immediately go to her stomach and I smile.

I can't believe this is actually happening.

"Alright Eva, we're just going to apply some gel to your lower abdomen and this is a conductive medium that creates a bond between the skin and the ultrasound transducer. The ultrasound sound waves have a hard time traveling through air, so the gel prevents any extra air space between the probe and your skin in order to create a clear image of the fetus."

She just nods and gives him a small closed mouth smile. She's so nervous.

She lifts up her shirt and you can see her tan stomach that now has a small bump forming. That little bump is our baby.

He applies the gel and she's a bit squeamish, probably because it's cold.

He then takes a small box thing that's connected to a cord and starts tracing back and forth on her stomach.

"I'm currently searching for the heartbeat."

A minute goes by and he doesn't say anything.
