Joshua Hong - The New Resident

:: Intro ::

It's just another ordinary day.

It's actually April and that means that my school is starting its second semester.

I'm an ordinary 18 year old high school girl who wishes to be a doctor.

Yes, I want to be a Doctor, although, I haven't decided on which field.

And my reason for this? Well...

Long story but if you (Readers) have time, I'll be happy to say it.

Now let's go back to the year 20XX.

I was about 8 years old.

I live with my parents and my older sister.

My mother at that time is already in her third pregnancy, uhhh 8 months if I remember.

We decided to go on a road trip to Haeundae Beach as my sister's birthday present.

We decided to drive to Busan even though we were met with about 2 hours traffic jam.

Anyways!

When we reach, my sister and dad were setting up camp (Yes it's a camping trip), I was with my mother.

I was helping my mother to set up the picnic things when she suddenly felt intense pain and she was holding her stomach.

"Eomma? Gwaenchana?" I had asked.

"Call your father here, ppali!" Eomma had said.

Worried, I immediately cried out for my father.

"What's wrong Jagiya?" He had ask anxiously.

"I think, the baby is coming out soon! It hurts!" Eomma had cried.

However, I could barely see anyone at Haeundae Beach and Appa said that the nearest hospital is at least about 1km away.

When we had thought hopeless, someone, who happened to be a doctor, came.

Thank goodness he saved Eomma and my new-borned baby brother.

It was because of that man who saved Eomma that made me want to become a Doctor.

I study in no ordinary school.

I study in South Korea's private and prestigious medical academy.

Although I'm only considered in my high school years.

Seoul Medical Academy, or SMA.

My parents decided to send me there to study.

I only recently started studying at SMA and it's going to be the second semester soon.

I was enrolled into SMA last year in June.

And each semester is 4 months, with a month vacation.

The first semester is from December to February, and March is vacation break.

The second semester is from April to July, and August is the vacation break.

The third semester is only September to November and with around mid-November is our holiday.

We'd usually start school by end of December and thus, celebrating the New Year's in school.

I know, even I find it weird and doesn't make much sense but *shrugs*, it's a prestigious school they say.

So anyways! SMA is located in Seoul so I'm actually living at my own apartment.

I'm actually from Anyang so I moved to Seoul for my studies.

My older sister is 3 years older than me and is currently in America for her University.

She got accepted into Guardius University of Law Firm, or GULF.

My sister wishes to either be a lawyer or prosecutor, she hasn't exactly decided on that field.

Anyways, it's my sister's third year I'd suppose and she'll probably be back by next year.

And then my little brother is 10 and he's studying in Anyang Elementary School back in Anyang.

My mother work as a florist and she owns a small flower shop near home.

As for my father, he's actually a former policeman and was well-known for solving even the most difficult cases.

However, after a fatal leg injury (I wasn't even born yet), he had to quit his job which was a shame.

After he quit being a policeman, my father became a music teacher at a high school.

Yes, I was shock when I heard this from him.

He claims that he had enjoyed music since young but never had the chance to do music.

Anyways!

My name is Yoo Ro Eun, my sister is Yoo Kyung Mi and my brother is Yoo Woo Shin.

And when school starts in like 2 days, I would be catched off guard by a certain man who caught my interest.
