Joshua Hong - The New Resident

"Ro Eun ah! Yoo Ro Eun!!" My best friend, Jo Eun Seok yelled.

"Yah Jo Eun Seok! You're embarrassing! Stop screaming my name!" I scolded and she simply sticks out her tongue.

"Merong~!" I gave a blank face.

"Seriously..." I mumbled.

"How was your vacation Ro Eun ah?" Eun Seok ask.

"It was fine, I didn't do much actually" I said with a shrug.

"Ohh, I went to Paris" says Eun Seok and my eyes widen.

"Jinjja?! Met any guys of your type?" I ask while wriggling my eyebrows.

Eun Seok has always talked about 'wanting to find a boyfriend' because she is jealous of couples she sees.

"Well, I did met 2 Korean guys! They're hot!" Says Eun Seok dreamingly and I chuckled.

Jo Eun Seok has been my best friend since I started studying at SMA.

We realized that we have quite a number of similar interest.

Though the difference is that Eun Seok wants to be a Neurologist, studying the human brains and all.

I still haven't decide on my field of doctors thing.

"Hey, I heard that we are having two new students" says Eun Seok.

"Geurae?" I ask and she nodded.

"Eun Seok-ie! Ro Eun-ie!" A voice exclaims.

We turn around to see our other best friend, Choi Seung Cheol.

"Seung Cheol ah!"

"Finally! What took you so long?" Eun Seok ask.

"Oh mianhae, I was sending my sister to school when a traffic jam occured" says Seung Cheol.

"Cheol, your sister is only in Middle School" I stated and he made a face.

"So? Can't I be a protective older brother?" Hr ask with a pout.

"Don't pout, anyways, let's go to class" says Eun Seok.

"Then let's meet up at lunch at the usual place" says Seung Cheol and we split ways.

I knew Seung Cheol since Middle School and he wishes to be a General Surgeon.

Anyways, the three of us have different classes so we had to split up.

I reach my class and manage to look for a seat and soon, our lecturer came.

"Good morning class! Today, we will be having a new student, please come in!" Says Mr Im.

And the new student turn out to be a boy, a fine, looking boy and for a moment, I had thought he came out from a manga or anime.

"Annyeonghaseyo, I am Hong Ji Soo, or Joshua" He says.

"Let's see now... Ji Soo may take a seat over there, beside Ro Eun" says Mr Im.

Joshua nods and he walk towards me and we simply exchange small nods before paying attention.

When class ended, it was a short break time before the next lesson.

"Jeogi..." I turn to see Joshua, the new boy.

"Ah yes?" I ask.

"May I know where is the class held for General Biology?" He ask.

"Oh, I'm having that class too! You can follow me" I said with a smile.

"Geurae? Gomawo..."

"Ro Eun, Yoo Ro Eun" I said.

"Gomapta Ro Eun ah" says Joshua and I chuckled.

"Kaja" I said and we headed to our class.

"Say... Are you Korean? Or American?" I ask, attempting to start a conversation.

"I'm Korean-American, I just came back from Los Angeles, that's my hometown" says Joshua.

"Ahhh, I was at LA when I was younger but I came back after a year" I said.

"Oh I see, umm, may I know which field you want to work in?" Joshua ask.

"I haven't decided yet, there are quite a number of choices. My friends have decided on Neurologist and General Surgeon" I said.

"I'm sure you'll find your interest field soon" says Joshua.

"What about you Joshua?" I ask.

"Either a Cardiologist or Dermatologist" says Joshua and I nodded.

"Sigh, I wish I can find mine soon" I said with a pout and Joshua chuckled.

"Patience is the key" He says and I smiled.
