Chapter Eighteen: Regrets?

Bill's P.O.V. :

I left Dipper's room, feeling slightly ashamed for some reason. I shouldn't care that I hurt him, I murdered my whole dimension for goodness sake! I need to clear my head. I'll just go for a walk, that seems to work for Dipper.

I marched out of the pyramid, leaving my gang of friends behind to do whatever they so pleased. I went into the same neck of the woods as Dipper always had. I had always wondered what he had seen in these woods. It's just a bunch of trees and dirt. Nothing special in the slightest.

I ended up at the meadow, the place where so many important events took place. I went into the exact middle, the place where I asked Dipper to be mine, and the place where I started to take over this universe.

Raising my hand to the dug out hole, a glowing blue light emanated from it, restoring the hole to its original state: covered in grass. I took a seat and soaked up my surroundings. The rain had stop, yet the clouds still remained, making everything eerily dark.

The once flourishing flowers had wilted, and the butterflies and deer were nowhere to be seen. A familiar flower bush lurked in the corner, just barely visible. I stood up, patted myself off, and made my way over to it. It was a rose bush.

However, all of the roses were dead. I thought back to another time with Dipper, when I gave him the eternal rose. I remembered why I did it as well. The rise, much like Dipper, had been wilted, but not dead. I wondered where it could be now, so I went back to the Mystery Shack.

Entering Dipper and Mabel's room, I saw the rose in a vase full of water in the center of Dipper's bedside table. The most peculiar part was that the rose was dead. All the petals had shriveled and fallen off. How peculiar..

I walked over to it and held the dead, fragile stem between my middle and ring fingers. Brushing off the one last wilted petal that had yet to fall, I had a thought. If I enchanted this rose to be like Dipper... Then.... It was a stretch, yes, but I think I can finally see what I have been doing to Dipper.

I've been slowly killing him, it must have been torture to see someone betray you like that. I thought I could overcome these human emotions... But...

No.

I will not be bested by Pine Tree.

I threw the dead flower onto the ground and stormed out side, slamming the door shut (And in turn, breaking it) in the process. Flying back to the pyramid, all of my friends were still partying to their heart's content. But, doing so, they forgot one IMPORTANT DETAIL.
