I slid down the pole in panic. I ran to Fix It. "Sideswipe's back with another Autobot!" I cried to him. Unsurprisingly, everyone in scrapyard seemed to hear me. "Where's Sideswipe and the other bot?" Bee asked. "At the main entrance." I replied. Bee and I went to the entrance. The gate opened. "Hi Sideswipe!" I greeted cheerfully. He glanced at me, but then went back to his conversation with Jetgirl. Strongarm was right behind them, her arms crossed, and face plate angry. I ignored her and followed Sideswipe. "Hey Slick," said Jetgirl. I was offended at Sideswipe's new nickname. "How 'bout you introduce me to your friends?" "Sure!" said Sideswipe happily. Everyone gathered at the command center. "Guys," Sideswipe began. "This is Windblade." "Greetings." said Windblade. "I'm Bumblebee." said Bee. "I'm Grimlock!" Grimlock shouted politely. "I am Drift," Drift said calmly. "And these are my students, Jetstorm and Slipstream." Slipstream bowed while Jetstorm smiled and waved at Windblade. "You already know I'm Strongarm." Strongarm muttered crossly. I didn't say anything. I was about to ask Strongarm what her problem was when Windblade pointed at me. She asked, "What about you?" I hesitated. I had a bad feeling about this bot. I didn't like Windblade and Strongarm obviously hated her. "Well?" she persisted. "That's Skipkick." Sideswipe answered. Windblade eyed my chest with suspicion. "You sure she's not a con, Slick?" I looked down at the ground. "Skipkick's a good bot." Strongarm cut in sharply. Windblade ignored this and turned to Fix It. "What about you, spark breaker?" she asked cooly. "I-I'm Fix It." Fix It said anxiously. I transformed into my blue and white lambo. "I'm gonna go on patrol." I said flatly. "Wanna come, Strongarm?" "Sure." she said, and we drove off. "So, what are your thoughts on Windblade?" she asked once we were back in bot mode. "She's...okay, I guess." I replied. Strongarm wasn't someone I had a good time talking to.It was usually Sideswipe I hung out with. But he had better people to chill with now. "What about you?" "I think she's a little too confident of herself. But she's always talking with Sideswipe, so I can't really tell." she answered. I was about to reply when Strongarm's com went off. "Strongarm, Skipkick, we need you back at base. A decepticon signal's been found in the woods." Bee's voice echoed.
(LOL!! THEY'RE DOING SNAPCHATS!!!! sry back to the story...)
"We'll be right there." Strongarm replied. We transformed back into vehicle mode. I was about to say, "Race ya!" like I always do with Sideswipe, but then I remembered, he had a new best friend. I was pulled out of my thoughts when we reached the command center. "I found multiple-strife-knife-" I gently poked Fix It's head. "life signals in the woods." he finished. "How many and exactly?" I asked. "3. Only 3." Fix It answered. Bee came up to everyone. "Alright. Sideswipe, Skipkick, Windblade, you check the east signal." he directed. "Drift, you and Grimlock do check the west. Strongarm, with me." Bee split us up and we obeyed. Windblade, "Slick", and I went towards the east signal. Sideswipe and Windblade were whispering and giggling the whole time while I actually looked around for the con. I was 100% sure they were talking about me. I heard them say "Skipkick" at least 10 times! But I didn't blame them. Who wants to be nice to someone who might turn againist them? My mind went back to Fracture's words again. I sighed. "He's so right!" I thought. "What if I do end up being bad and just don't know it yet?!" I was snapped out of head when we heard something crash to the ground. "Divebomb! Shut up!" said a hushed, whiny voice. "Fracture..." I mumbled. I pulled out my decepticon hunter. We heard some scampering. The minicons were gone. "He's not done with us yet." I thought aloud. Sideswipe shrugged, "Anyway..." he began and then kept whispering away with Windblade. I rolled my optics. I put away my weapon and kept walking. "Maybe if I follow them, they'll lead me to Fracture." I thought. I stopped. I knew that Slick and Jetgirl weren't going to be any help whatsoever. I needed to find Fracture. "But even if I did find his base, what would I do? My com system isn't set up yet." I thought. "I know! I'll just listen in on their plans and then report back to Bee!" I quietly snuck away from the gossip twins and went to the spot of where I had heard the minicons. I looked around. Apparently, according to my observations, Divebomb was sitting in a tree watching us. Then the branch snapped and he fell on top of Airazor who was trying to be silent. I searched for tracks. I took out the one flashlight Strongarm gave me that let you a fugitive's tracks. I switched it on and noticed that Fracture wasn't here with his minicons. I followed Airazor and Divebomb's tracks to an old, abandoned steel mill. "This is definitely the place." I thought. I saw some guards around the corners of the mill. They were obviously watching out for any unwanted visitors. I heard a wolf howl from inside the mill. It was low and echoey, but surprisingly soothing. The guards walked inside the building. There was probably a meeting going on in there. I walked closer, being careful not to be seen. I went to the back entrance. I looked up and saw a much better way to get in. I climbed up on top of the roof and saw a sky light. I carefully removed the window pane and slipped in. I stood on the wide balcony right above them. I looked down and tried to make out what they were saying. "...Steeljaw...destroy...teammates..." was all I could understand from such a high elevation. Since there wasn't much to listen to that I could hear, I decided to listen for just a few more minutes. "bot...rookie...Drift..." Then it hit me. Fracture was telling them about me! He was probably also saying that I could possibly go and join their side! I had to get out of there and tell Bee ASAP! I leaped up and grabbed the frame of the sky light. I glanced down. No one heard me. I climbed out of the sky light as quietly as physically possible, slid down the roof, and ran back into the woods. I dashed through the trees, dodging their pointy branches as I went. While I was running, I smashed into Windblade. "Sorry! C'mon Sideswipe! There's something important I need to say at the base!" I shouted as I ran. Sideswipe ran to catch up with me. Windblade ran to catch up with Sideswipe. We all finally arrived at base. "Bee!" I shouted when I caught my breath. "What's wrong?!" Bee asked as he ran over. When Windblade and Sideswipe caught up, I told Bee how I got in, where their base was, and what I heard. "Wow." Bee said when I finished. "That was smart. But, why did you leave Sideswipe and Windblade?" At that exact moment, I remembered one of Bee's rules. "Don't leave teammates behind, no matter the cost." I quoted in my head. "I...just really wanted to get Fracture, that's all." I lied. "Okay, thanks for telling me all that. It really helps." Bee thanked. There was no way I was gonna tell him the real reason I left Slick and Jetgirl. "I just don't like listening to gossip about me." I thought solemnly. "By the way," said Bee. "Have you ever heard of Steeljaw?" I shook my head. "Hmm. Well, I guess Fix It will have to pull him up for up." he replied. Fix It obeyed among hearing this. "That's Steeljaw alright." Bee informed. "If you ever bump into him, no matter what he says, com for back up immediately." "Will do." I promised. "Everyone, let's call it a night." he announced.

I sat in the spot where I always sit to watch TV with Russel. Russel asked me, "Hey Skip, can you go ask Windblade and Sideswipe what they wanna watch?" "Sure." I answered. "Be back in a sec." I got up and thought of all the places Sideswipe hides when he has to go on a mission with Strongarm. I checked everywhere. The scrapyard aisles, the generator area, even the giant stack of clothes dryers. Then I remembered where he and I always went to train and hang out. The wall cars! I ran over, hoping he'd say "yes" to watching TV with his real best friend. When I found him, all that was left of my confidence and self-esteem withered away. He was doing something with Windblade that he only ever did with me. Side was training with her! "I've already been replaced..." I thought sadly as I walked away. "Time to move on."
