Hello, everyone! And Happy New Year! Omg it's already 2020! This year, I have resolved to updating my stories more often, so you'll have more stuff to read! ;) I love you all, reader-chans!!
The two siblings fought for a while. Punching, kicking, the usual stuff. Suddenly, Flare's left arm transformed into a giant gun. He shot at his sister a few times, when Fracture called, "We got the stuff, let's go!" Flare's blaster turned back into arm. "See ya, sis." he taunted. Before we left with our supplies, I rushed over to the command center. I slashed it a few times with my double scythe. The console sparked from the gashes all over it. I smirked and followed the others out. When we about halfway back to base, I asked Flare, "So how did you do that gun thing with your arm?" "It's a new upgrade Jump tested on me." he replied. "No one cares, Flare." Fracture snapped. "Sheesh." I thought. "What's his problem?" When we arrived back at the factory, Jumpboost closely examined and checked off the things we stole. "The good news is we have everything we need for the archway." he assured a few minutes later. "And the bad news?" Steeljaw demanded, crossing his arms impatiently. "We still need a large power source..." Jumpboost admitted nervously. Steeljaw shifted his gaze over to me. "Got any ideas?" Steeljaw asked, his voice softening. I racked my mind for a minute. "We could try to use the electricity up in the clouds?" I proposed awkwardly. "But we'd need to put the archway somewhere high." Flare practically bounced up with excitement. "We could use the statue as an antenna!" he grinned. "Genius!" I exclaimed.
A few days later, we took turns bringing materials for the archway to the statue. "Did Megatronus leave any specific instructions on how to build this thing?" Fracture complained as he held a bunch of metal in his arms. "Yes." Steeljaw growled. He pointed towards the side of the statue. "Put those over there." Fracture scowled, but obeyed. Eventually, everything was in a big pile right in front of the statue. "Now what?" Fracture demanded. "You listen to me so we can build it, that's what." Steeljaw spat.
(This is so something Fracture would do to Steeljaw!)
"I'm done listening to you!" Fracture screeched. "You could be making this whole thing up so you can ditch this mud ball and leave us here to rot!" "Point indeed taken." I thought. Flare and Thunderhoof had been building the structure part of the arch. I had been working on the wiring while Jumpboost handed me tools. We stared at Fracture and Steeljaw's feud. Steeljaw was trying to keep his cool and calm Fracture down at the same time.
(Which is not an easy thing to do, by the way.)
Fracture isn't the most forgiving con though. Steeljaw was actually doing fine until Fracture said something extremely offensive that I can't say aloud. At that moment, Steeljaw completely lost it, and pounced on Fracture. The two were going at each other with knives and claws, not punches and kicks. Flare peeled Steeljaw off of Fracture, who was most likely about to get one of his optics ripped out. Thunderhoof and I held Steeljaw back as Flare offered a hand to help Fracture up. He slapped Flare's hand away and sneered, "I could've handled that myself." I purposely let go of Steeljaw, out of annoyance which made Thunderhoof let go also. Fracture leaped up out of terror, transformed and race off as fast as his engine could carry him. When he was miles away, Steeljaw spun around and stared at the three of us. His yellow optics burned with anger. "Who's idea was it to let that scrapheap get away?!" he yelled with rage. Flare and I automatically blamed Thunderhoof by pointing at him. We backed away from the both them a little, knowing Steeljaw, we knew that fight was about to happen. "Wasn't me!" he claimed desperately. I rolled my optics and sighed before trudging back to my job. Flare followed, going back to the archway. Even if Steeljaw was lying about the Megatronus, I still wanted to go back to Cybertron. My home. My teammates' home. My friends' home. As I worked on the wiring, I wondered what Sideswipe might be doing right now. I heard Flare building the arch as Steeljaw and Thunderhoof battled. "Sideswipe-er, I mean screwdriver." I told Jumpboost. Jumpboost handed it to me and asked, "Who's Sideswipe?" "Wh-what're you talking about?" I questioned nervously, my voice squeaking a tad. I felt Flare staring at me. I whipped my head back, as he immediately went back to his work. I sighed quietly and went back to mine. "Who is Sideswipe?" Flare asked quietly, looking at me. "No one." I replied impatiently. "If he's 'no one' then why did you say his name in the first place?" Steeljaw taunted. Apparently, he and Thunderhoof had worked out their disagreement, leaving Thunderhoof unconscious on the ground. "We need a stronger power source." Jumpboost said, changing the awkward subject. "Maybe even one with energon." An evil smile appeared on Steeljaw's face. He ran over to Thunderhoof and dragged him to the statue by his foot. Steeljaw clawed his way up the statue until he finally got Thunderhoof up there. "Skipkick!" he called. "Toss up some cable!" I searched through the pile of stuff and found a long rope of thick, black cable with thin purple lines going around it. I watched Steeljaw go round and round the statue the statue with it, tying Thunderhoof to our makeshift antenna. He slid down and landed on his feet gracefully. "How's that?" Steeljaw asked Jumpboost smoothly. "Hmmm...hard to say." the green minicon replied. "Let's fire it up and see what happens." Flare cut in. "It's pretty much finished, right Skip?" I glanced at the wires and nodded. "Alright." Steeljaw shrugged. Flare flicked the switch on my wiring panel. A bolt of electricity shot up the statue. It tasered Thunderhoof, making wake up and shout a few swear words. We looked up at the portal. A yellow spark spat a few times before vanishing in the center of Flare's arch. Flare flicked off the switch when the spark disappeared. "Scrap!" he exclaimed. Jumpboost studied the structure before saying, "Maybe there's not enough power?" Flare's optics lit up. "Or maybe," he began. "It's the opposite. What if there's too much power for the wires to carry?!" he proposed excitedly. "An overload of the wiring system." I replied. "Flare, you're a genius!" He smiled, beaming with pride. "Let's take down Thunderhoof and see what happens then." Flare suggested to Steeljaw. Steeljaw smirked at him, but it wasn't a friendly one. I eyed him with suspicion. "Only if you help me get him." he told Flare. Flare nodded in agreement. Then they walked off towards the statue. "Be careful." I thought. "Be careful, Flareshock." I realized that I had replaced Sideswipe with Flare, like he did to me with Windblade then. Then again, I still hadn't asked Flare if we were friends yet, so I dismissed the thought and watched the two cons climb the statue. I checked on the wires. One was busted, so dug around in the pile again to find a new one. I heard a huge clank and a smash. I assumed it was just Thunderhoof falling to the ground, so I didn't look behind me. I just kept fishing around in the pile of stuff we don't need. The second I found one, I noticed something. The place was quiet. Too quiet. I spun around, and was absolutely terrified at what I saw. Flare was tied to the statue with Thunderhoof! The huge clank and smash must've been Steeljaw and him fighting! Steeljaw was already down, and was about to flick the switch. I ran to stop him, but was too late. Another bolt of electricity went flying up the statue, making Flare scream in pain. Steeljaw smiled ferociously. I felt another sudden power surge in my body, but this time, it wasn't a good one. Every ounce of anger, hatred, sadness, and fear I had shoved down came flying back to me. I enabled my fight mask and pulled out my double scythe. I was about to sneak up on Steeljaw and kill him for what he did to my new bestie. Suddenly, the arch filled up with the same light as the Autobots' ground bridge. Then it exploded! Steeljaw and I froze right where we were, to stunned to speak. When the dust cleared, out stepped a tall, massive, muscular, dark black con. He had narrow, pupil-less optics the color of human blood when he disabled his fight mask. Steeljaw wasn't lying about the message.
This giant con really was Megatronus himself!
