A Friend...For Now

"Hi-ya!" Sideswipe cried as he jumped out from behind a stasis pod. "Hey Skip," he said. "wanna train with me?" "Sure, why not? I'll probably destroy you though." I teased. "We'll see about that." he answered. So we trained while Sideswipe taught me how to dodge punches. I taught him a few kicks. My name is Skipkick after all. We were about to finish our final round of sparring when Bumblebee called, "Skipkick! Sideswipe! C'mere!" "Probably another mission." I claimed. "Yeah." Sideswipe replied. "Y'know, you're not bad for a girl." I looked into his bright blue optics. "What's that supposed to mean?!" I asked playfully. He was about to reply when Bee (Bumblebee) called us again. "You guys! Hurry up!" he yelled. "Race ya!" I challenged Sideswipe and took off running. We ran there together. Sometimes I'd pass him up, other times he'd pass me. When we arrived Fix It looked at us for few seconds before saying, "An exact-fly-bye-" Russel lightly slapped the orange minicon's back. "Tie. Your race was an exact tie." Fix It finished. "So what's our mission?" I asked. "Hammerstrike escaped last night." Bee answered. "Fix It tracked him to Crown City's lake." "Wasn't he there last time?" Sideswipe asked. "Yep." Bee replied. "But how did he escape? I updated the alarm 2 days ago!" I said. "Guess we're going underwater." Sideswipe said, elbowing me in the ribs. I groaned. I hated underwater missions. It's always hard to move, the Con (Decepticon), is always aquatic  which makes them fast, and it takes hours for the Decepticon hunters to dry. "Let's just get this over with."  I thought. Bee must've read my mind, 'cause he said, "It'll be pretty quick this time." So through the groundbridge we went. The Bots (Autobots) and I all saw a shark-like Con come charging towards us. Grimlock grabbed him and held him down while the rest of us started punching. "Party time!" Grimlock yelled in his big, booming voice. Then he punched Hammerstrike so hard I though I felt the ground shake. "Wow, you were right Bee," I said when we got back to the scrapyard. "That was quick!" He smiled. "Told you so." he said warmly.

"Night. A clear, warm night." said the TV when Sideswipe, Russel and I had settled down for the evening. I heard a crash. We spun around, Grimlock had knocked over some stuff. Denny was yelling at him. I shook my head and went back to the movie. We heard another crash, but from a distance. "Grimlock!" I called. "Keep it down! We're watching TV!" Grimlock looked at me, clearly confused. "Wasn't me!" he said. "I'll go check it out." I said. "I'll come too." Sideswipe replied. "Have fun." Russel said. "Hey Grimlock! You wanna watch TV with me?" Sideswipe cocked his head and said "C'mon Skip, you scared?" "She's braver than you, that's for sure." Bee admitted teasingly. Sideswipe rolled his optics. "There's a Cybertronian life signal in the east and west corners of the scrapyard." Fix It commed. "Skip, you and Sideswipe go check the west. I'll go check the east with Strongarm. " "Got it." Sideswipe and I said together. "Jinx!" we cried. "Double jinx!" we called again. We laughed. "Let's go." said Sideswipe. We walked to the signal and saw a flash of dark purple. "Should we com Bee?" I whispered. "Nah, we'll be fine." Sideswipe assured. We pulled out our Decepticon hunters and enabled our fight masks. I heard a familiar sound. The sound of Fracture's terrifying giggling. He slowly appeared out of the shadows. Sideswipe took a few steps back. I stood my ground, just like I promised Bee I would always do. Fracture looked at me like I was a scrapheap in his way. He glanced at where my Con symbol would be. His narrow red optics slightly widened as he grinned his toothy grin. Sideswipe looked at me and signaled me to come closer. I broke my promise to Bee and walked over to Sideswipe. "Watch your back this time." I told him. "You too." he replied. "Now!" yelled Sideswipe and we ran towards Fracture. We kicked, punched, and slashed at Fracture, but he was just too fast for us. Fracture tasered Sideswipe, who was now unconscious. "Scrap." I thought. I saw Drift dash around the corner right behind Fracture. Fracture looked straight into my bright blue optics. "Rookie, huh?" he said menacingly. Then he raised his hand-sword about to strike me. Then he spun around and clashed swords with Drift. I grabbed Sideswipe's arms and dragged him to the command center. "Fix It!" Tell everyone that Fracture's back!" I yelled as I ran back to where he and Drift were. When I arrived, Drift was the ground, Fracture right above him, "You let in a Bot who could be a Con?! Ha! Can you get anymore pathetic??" Suddenly, Bumblebee headbutted Fracture off Drift. "Just like old times." I thought. "You're not getting away this time!" I challenged, confident once again. "Coming from someone who might be on my side, I'm not too convinced." Fracture spat. "Don't listen to him." Bee said calmly. "It's punching time!" Grimlock shouted. "Grimlock! No!" Bee yelled. Fracture stood his ground. He took out his taser and dashed around Grim, shocking him repeatedly. I charged toward Fracture with Bee right behind me. He spun around, Grimlock fell to the ground, unconscious. We stopped just a few feet in front of him. Drift soon joined us, along with Strongarm and Sideswipe, who was now apparently fine, ran along side each other. Fracture backed up, finally realizing he was completely outnumbered. He stared at us and said, "Pleasure meeting the rookie. See ya around!" He did the same trick that made him escape last time, light flashes. When the lights faded he was gone.

The next day, we all woke up early to track down where Fracture might have gone. The alarm sounded. We all gathered at the command center. "What was that other life signal from last night, by the way?" I asked Bee. "One of his micro-drones." he replied. "I found another two life signals." Fix It announced. "About 3 miles from here in the-hoods-goods-woods." "Probably nothing." Sideswipe assumed. "Don't jump to conclusions so quickly." Bee warned. "Strongarm, you and Sideswipe go. Maybe it'll teach you 2 to get along." he ordered. "Do I have to?" Sideswipe whined. Bee glared at him impatiently. "Fiiinnne" Sideswipe moaned. I snickered a little. Then they were off, arguing over who was the fastest. I went on top of the bill board where Strongarm usually goes to think. Fracture's word came to my mind. "Coming from someone who might be on my side, I'm not too convinced." they repeated. I thought about my symbol. "Bee said that if I make the right choices, I'll end up as an Autobot. But I don't usually make the right choices." I thought. "Then again, neither does Sideswipe."  I saw Grimlock watching Denny practice his disguises. I adjusted my optics to zoom in on what character he was pretending to be. He wore black mustache, some glasses and a top hat. "Probably someone fancy or important." said a voice. "I turned I head. I all I could see was a splotch of yellow covering my whole field of sight. Then I remembered that I was still in zoom in mode. I zoomed out and a wave of relief washed over me. It was only Bee. Somehow he had gotten up here without me hearing him. "You okay?" he asked. I shrugged "Not really." I replied. "What's wrong?"Bee questioned. "Did Sideswipe do something?" "No, Sideswipe didn't do anything." I answered. "It's just..." I trailed off. "Sorry for being so nosy, but what?" You can tell me anything Skip," Bee reassured. "I'm your leader, trust me."

(I thought this was hilarious! Credit to whoever drew it! :3 Anyway, back to the story)

I sighed. "It's just Fracture had a point about what he said last night." I gloomily answered. Bee seemed to understand. "Never listen to a Con." he advised. "Especially Fracture. Being the scrapheap he is, I wouldn't believe a word out of his toothy mouth. I smiled. Bee was someone I could really talk to. Bee was probably one of my best friends, aside from Sideswipe of course. "Thanks Bee, you're awesome." I complimented. "Always happy to help." he replied. "I have to go. Wanna come?" he asked. "Sure." I shrugged. "I'll be down in a sec." Bee climbed down the pole. I stood up to follow him when something caught my eye. I looked at the main entrance. Sideswipe was back with the Decepticon slung over his shoulder. But that wasn't the weird part. My optics zoomed in again. He was talking to a girl Autobot. A shiny black and red jet girl Autobot.
